@MrFacts

And may I ask why?

It's a new thing, we were bound to come across a few bumps on the road till it matures. And being even more bureaucratic about the rule itself as it was written wouldn't have solved the bumps.

Lemme ask you this:
  1. What would you guys have done if ProNat didn't exist?
  2. What should we do with other applicants (i.e. Facts / Pontesi) if we were to grant ProNats for you in Valr/Gad?

Echoing a lot of what Weim said, but:

1. Being honest, if ProNats had never been proposed/accepted I would have quit PT months ago, or at least just gone to FBCs. But even then, a lot of the FBCs don't inspire much RP for me.

2. Agree what Weim said here, honestly.

1) Mina's role has been one of stabilization in the region and the sort've "rock" for East Dovani in being not an absolute mess as often FBCs become or turn into. I'm not interested in turning Mina into something as I've got several storylines, such as the Nefa Ahmadi Democratic Republic that I do not want to abandon. This is not to mention that outside of Xsampa, and now Bianjie, there are no real active Dovani-based FBCs. Outside of Dovani, there is only one other active on Temania.

2) FBCs, while on the same have always been a little different and we've had players control FBCs will having active nations on Dovani and in the past we've had people control 2 different FBCs on the same continent (I controlled Mina and Bazgaristan at one point), I don't think thats entirely new. The one thing that was always not allowed, but has been recently allowed with Vascania and Rapa Pile, was invasion and occupation. The only one that comes to mind outside of that and was RPd very well, was Kurageri and Liore of which Chitin did a stellar job RPing.

3) Why shouldn't they interact? While we've implemented rules to prevent FBCs and secondary accounts from interacting with each other, neither nation is going to have an open conflict, nor could they really given the circumstances. There will certainly be tensions, I encourage you to read the situation between Mina and Bazgaristan, but a full on "Hot conflict" will be very unlikely to happen unless planned in the context of a wider Dovani situation.
We're discussing and we appreciate the response.

Right now, we feel that the roleplay for Pontesi still needs work and dedication put in and a reason why a ProNat would be appropriate for you there. I recommend continuing to roleplay and developing your roleplay arc further before asking again.

Oke, ill do that for longer, just hope nobody comes in as it would destroy the whole roleplay, but thank you for replying.

@Weim @Hex I hear you. At the same time this is exactly my concern. Nobody will do anything without a ProNat. We've suddenly become very aware of phrases like "fragile", "swept away with the rain" and "destroy the whole roleplay" (i.e. Fact's previous comment).

I mean I get it. I'll be lying though if I said I'm not concerned about where ProNats are heading.

It's not the FBC version of in-game countries.

It's not about outlining a plan, getting approval, taking ownership and then starting. It's more about saying "oh guys I've kinda sunk my teeth into this nation, been interacting with other nations and I'm generally a good co-player, can you guys protect me?".

Here's the kicker: when you guys made the initial requests for Valruzia and Gaduridos a few days back you were at that stage. You're not anymore, since you've both been RPing with both nations, you're just scared to commit further - which is totally fair and this is where ProNats come in.

-

My suggestion.

Can you two proceed without a ProNat, give it a few days (min 2-3), roll with the RP and then apply again? Then the mod team can handle the case again (as I'm currently intervening on their behalf) with a clean slate.

I'm asking for your help here. I really want us to differentiate ProNats between getting started and getting ready to commit.

(ofc with the 2 criteria in mind)

-

Totally fair if you want it now cause you're bummed without it. Just say it. You're both valuable members and we really don't want to lose you from the scene of active roleplayers. But keep in mind it's going to shake players like MrFacts who're probably gonna feel unfair about it.

Waiting is perfectly fine. ProNat is something I personally want to see succeed alot, so I absolutely understand, and do want to cooperate to ensure it does well for everyone. The bureaucracy is hellish but worth it in the end

Prior to Bazgaristan's change from what it was, to what is now, Bazgaristan was a well known supporter of Ahmadi terrorism in Dovani and even launched an invasion of western Medina to support a more radical, pro-Ahmadi regime. I'd like to develop Statrica into that sort've role, while also providing something for states in western Dovani and potentially across the pond to be involved in.

The main focus would be on foreign groups funding a Ahmadi revolution and the main government struggling to contain it while actively engaging in a prolonged civil war. As a note, this would be a "slow burn" and the intention to bring some activity further to Dovani, and as such posting would be alongside posts with Mina.

Your request has been denied. The moderation team thinks that three nations to roleplay in are enough for you to make quality roleplay, and we feel like having another FBC would be a fair bit excessive.

Alrighty- let's do this again

I would like to request Gaduridos to be placed under Protected Nation (ProNat) status.

The reasons why are as follows;

1- In coordination with @Hexaus, we both have a plan for an abomination of a nation. A merger between the two nations based on Pan-Seleyanism. Due to the nature of how easy such a project can be disrupted, ProNat would ensure that this project can survive without being hijacked. This is intended as a long term project. Whether it be something as minute as debating the tax for foreign bread or reacting to major geopolitical events around the world, (which will require communication and coordination with Hexaus) this "United States of Seleya" has strong potential for RP that, arguably, hasn't been seen much elsewhere.

2- I would like to ensure that the narrative of Gaduridos is kept in a realistic manner, ie Gaduridos doesn't suddenly go from social democratic to being fascist. I ultimately want to ensure that there is continuity and logic in the narrative. Both for currently existing story lines, and future story lines with Gaduridos (whether it be simply focusing on internal development or external affairs such as world events and presenting how a neutral Gaduridos can respond to said events.)

I intend to stay in Gaduridos long term, and ideally make it a home of sorts. While my word isn't much to go off of, I do hope that I can prove that my intent is to stay in Gaduridos long term, if not indefinitely.

Ultimately, my main reasoning is towards point 1, as the United States of Seleya remains the plan that me and Hex have been pushing towards. Given the immense RP potential it has, it is largely the major reason. Not the sole reason, but a major reason. The United States of Seleya presents both unique RP potential, and opportunities for both me and Hex, and other players (as supranational unions are extremely rare and Seleya is currently in the midst of an influence tug of war.) both on Seleya and outside.

In the event that point 1 becomes void for any reason, then I'd like to refer to point 2, in which I'd like to ensure that the narrative of Gaduridos isn't flipped on its head randomly. I want to ensure that the narrative and general story maintains it's direction and a general sense of realism. Case in point, I want to prevent Gaduridos from suddenly being RPed as a cooperative internationalist nation to a far right fascist warhawkish state immediately.

In the event that this is approved, this is the list for ProNat parties.

Partido de los Trabajadores de Gaduridos (colour is to be 88000)

Partido Reformista de Gaduridos (colour is to be 2E8B57)

Partido Radical Democrático (colour is to be FFD700)

Partido Nacional de Gaduridos (colour is to be 0000FF)

Partido Demócrata Hosiano (colour is to be AFEEE)

Partido de la Revolución Democrática (colour is to be FF6347)

Independientes (colour is to be 808080)

If there are any questions or concerns that the mod team has, I would be more than happy to further explain and elaborate as to why I desire Gaduridos to be given ProNat.

Irregardless, please and thank you in advance for your time, irregardless of the decision made.
