New coalition and new Staatspresident in Ikradon

Magrathea The march elections are over, and the Socialistische Arbeiderspartij of Bart Eenders has won the most seats in the federal parliament! With a mind-boggling 47%, the SAP stands strong, but will still need a coalition to have a government. Yet, this should form no issues since the green party has announced before that they would want to lead the country together with the socialists. 

Just a few months ago, SAP announced that they are endorsing Lina Verhoeven as Staatspresident, and this has also come true! GROEN-face Verhoeven has magnificently won the Staatspresidential elections against Leonie Hofkamp (NDP) and will be the next Staatspresident of Ikradon for the upcoming 4 years.

Here's what she has to say about this:

I am brought to tears. It is amazing to finally make it as Staatspresident of Ikradon after trying for 12 years. Thank you to the SAP for endorsing my candidacy against miss Hofkamp, and congratulations for making it as the biggest party of the state. You and GROEN of course have my endorsement to form a coalition together.

GROEN-president and prime minister of Ikradon Lana Van Der Eyden has not released an official statement, yet confirms that she will no longer be the prime minister of the country, but instead may become minister for environment and tourism. SAP-president Bart Eenders is likely to become the new prime minister.

All is yet to be confirmed in the cabinet proposal.

GROEN transforms into ESI, SAP leaves government: What has happened in Ikradon?

Magrathea In the past term of government in Ikradon, a lot of stuff has happened. Most importantly: Socialistische Arbeiderspartij SAP, with most seats, has left the government. We do not know the reason for this, but this leaves other leftist party GROEN on their own against the right NDP. Will we get another fully NDP-consisting government in Ikradon again?

Furthermore, GROEN is transforming into ESI. How has this happened? Staatspresident Lina Verhoeven explains;

I regret to inform you that miss Lana Van Der Eyden, former prime minister, former president of GROEN and former minister of the environment, is retiring from politics. She has served this party well and made a great foundation for our success. It is now up to new party president Simon Fias. He and I have collectively decided to rebrand into ESI (Ecosocialistische partij Ikradon). With SAP leaving, we have to keep the left government in Ikradon.

Upcoming March 5572 elections are to be exciting, it will be 1v1, left vs. right.

I hope people of Ikradon will make the right decision in March. It has been proven the NDP is a religious, very conservative party, it restricts fundamental rights, and we are still here to prevent that. these 12 leftist years, we have accomplished so many things, and we are at risk of losing all of that by having NDP back as sole power, like they did before.
