Nadiya

Yesterday Nadiyans headed to the polls to decide whether or not they accepted the drafted constitution written by the third Constitutional Convention which would turn Nadiya from a capitalist laissez faire confederation to Soviet communist one, but voters in Kozacchyna also voted on their country's status in the Confederation following the success of a popular initiative.

While parties like the Servants of Nadiya and the Princess and Tsarina Association of Nadiya campaigned on the no vote, their rivals the ANCP and SRs supported the yes vote as the new constitution would fullfil one of their most important electoral promises. After the last voting office closed in Radin and the first rounds of counting came from Vrosnok, the no vote was leading ahead by 13% before being catched and outpaced by the yes vote as votes from Kozacchyna and Brakav were being reported. At midnight, the NCEFT declared the victory of the adoption of the new constitution and proclamation of the Confederation of Soviet Socialist Republics as 68,3% of the population voted yes, 30% voted no, and 2,7% placed blank ballots.

However in Kozacchyna, citizens were also asked if they wanted the republic to remain a member of the Confederation or initiate the process of leaving it. The referendum was organized after an organization know as the Kozaki Sovereignist Association after they collected 683 thousand votes and called onto the NCEFT to hold a referendum in Kozacchyna since they met the requirement of 500 thousand signatures necessary for a regional referendum to be held. The People's Electoral Agency, Kozacchyna's independent electoral authority, announced the crushing victory of the unionist option gathering 94,6% of the votes while 3,3% voted for independence.

These results across both Nadiya and Kozacchyna show that more and more people not only identify themselves as Nadiyan more than anything but also that support for confederation has never been greater as the country heads toward celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Just a few months ago, Kozacchyna had voted to remain in the Confederation just like the rest of the republics following the approval of a new confederal constitution and proclamation of the Confederation of Soviet Socialist Republics, but it seems that Kozaki voters wanted more than simply state their wish to remain in the union.

Following the independence referendum being held, the incumbent Liberal-PNS minority government to tear itself apart leading to the collapse of the government as the Kozaki Free Communist Party deposed a motion of no confidence that easily passed. Snap elections were then held which saw the KFGP and SDO alliance secure a 2/3 majority and wiping out the center-right to hard right opposition from the rada and leaving the DSS as the official opposition in the Rada alongside PSV.

Seeing their massive electoral victory coupled with the communists holding the presidency of Kozacchyna, they immediately called a constitutional convention and began drafting a new constitution to the republic according to metzist and communist ideals. Debates about the future of Kozacchyna were headed to say the least, most disagreements came when discussing the status of Rodakha since it's not an official language even tho 38% of the population uses it as their primary language and 64% use it alongside Kozaki in their daily lives. Some argued that recognizing it as an official language would strip Kozacchyna of its founding principles while others opposed it and said that ignoring it would just cause polarization in rural regions. Ultimately it was decided to recognize the language as an official one but also expand the use of Kozaki across the republic.

After the new constitution was drafted and the referendum being held yesterday, the Republican Electoral Commission has announced the victory of the yes vote by a net positive margin of 14% and the scheduled adoption of the new constitution by January 1st, 5729 alongside the proclamation of the People's Soviet Socialist Federative Republic of Kozacchyna, making them the 5th openly communist republic in the Confederation.

Following the victory of communists in Kozacchyna, Vrosnok's ministry for foreign and confederal affairs released a statement denouncing the "rise of communistic sloppulism across Nadiya which hurts the principles of economic freedom and liberty the Council Republic of Vrosnok stands on." The statement continues, "The Council Republic of Vrosnok will take all legal procedures to fight the rise of this threat across Nadiya as it stamps on the foundational amendments of the October Revolutionary Declaration that brought on the death of the old Trigunian dictatorship."

Due to the cooperation agreement with Kalistan's space agency, and the recent successful launches of multiple satellites and heavy load baring test missions, the Nadiyan Space Agency has once again advanced its scheduled launches and even announced the launch of the first manned mission next year.

The announcement came from Director Panarim during the NSA's annual report and space conference held at their headquarters in Rodashyam, it was part of a broader report that highlighted the agency's progress and tests being far ahead from the original roadmap. The NSA's originally had scheduled the launch of the first manned mission into orbit in 5736, but after the ratification of the treaty with the ICSA it was moved to 5731, now it has been moved to 5729 in accordance to new results from the recently launched Svet-4, 5, 6, and 7 rockets which were specifically designed to carry heavy loads in the form of satellites mimicking human subjects.

Coincidentally the new launch date aligns with the 9th anniversary of the ratification of the treaty of Zarvospol and the proclamation of the Nadiyan Confederation, the news was already picked up by government officials and especially the Nadiyan Commission for Mechanical-Building and Robotics which has begun running campaigns promoting the first manned mission of the 5th millinea and highlighting the names of the 3 women and 2 men composing the mission.

Right after the passage of the People's Economic Equity Act that would've not only doubled the minimum wage but introduced a universal basic income of two thousand and five hundred rubles which effectively ensures that every Nadiyan upon reaching adulthood would automatically earn a living wage thanks to the country's oil revenues and tax collection, but that dream was immediately shattered when the Nadiyan Central Bank announced the triggering of article 51 of the constitution.

The news sent shockwaves across the country as the NCB orchestrated a hostile takeover of the confederal budget of 5729 and all budgets for the next 15 years alongside disbanding the UBI initiative before it even got implemented. In a televised speech addressed to the country, Alexandra Bacque, current governor of the NCB and chair of the TEF's Council for Humanity's Future justified the hijack of the country's finances by stating:

"The Confederation has been steadily building alarming levels of debt and the previous administrations have consistently violated our recommended 3% deficit which has led to our country racking up a catastrophic 102% debt to GDP ratio. This imitative to introduce a universal basic income, while being a noble cause, would just worsen our budget deficit from the current 5% to a catastrophic 12% and no sane mind would ever allow a country to run such a major." She continues, "As such, the Nadiyan Central Bank has triggered article 51 of the constitution and taken over all confederal finances for the next 15 years alongside passing an emergency budget that annulles the UBI alongside flipping the 5% deficit into a 14% surplus thanks to major cuts in non essential sectors with the exception of the budget allocated to the Nadiyan Space Agency which is directly funded by the NCB."

The reactions from the Pavlina administration have been immediate, Premier Ulyana Pavlina denounced the "undeniable influence of the levers of capital and the bourgeoisie acting in unison from Felzdorn to undermine the victories of the proletariat in our eternal war for freedom." She also vowed to the take the matter to the Supreme Cooperative Court, but it's highly unlikely for the Supreme Justices to side with the government given article 51 of the constitution which explicitly allows the Nadiyan Central Bank to do whatever they want as long as they deem the economic and debt situation of the country deteriorating.

These past few months have been historic moment in the history of the Confederation as it seems that Nadiya is headed toward an open constitutional crisis involving every branches of government.

This comes as the Supreme Cooperative Court ruled unanimously in favor of the Nadiyan Central Bank in the trial launched agaisnt them by the confederal government for their recent takeover of the budget for the next 15 years as mentioned in article 51 of the constitution. It was the first time in the history of the Confederation that two institutions of the Confederal government openly declared war against each other through the use of the judicial system.

Following the rulling, Premier Pavlina pushed forward the Justice and Neutrality Act that would've not only increased the number of judges in the Supreme Cooperative Court from 14 to 23, it would've also prohibited the High Instance of the Judiciary from electing new Supreme Justices instead relegating that power to the Nadiyan Commission for Justice & Government Transparency, a move criticized by many as an open declaration of war against the independence of the Nadiyan judicial system. Even tho historically the Supreme Justices were appointed and elected by the Chamber of Justices, that right was abolished by the second Constitutional Convention which then transfered it to the High Instance of the Judiciary.

The reaction from the SCC was immediate, they struck down the JNA instantly on the vertues of it violating article 45 of the constitution alongside being a "clear attack against the highest judicial institution of the Confederation on petty basis." Now the executive, financial, and judicial branches have officially entered open hostilities as Pavlina promised to trigger a fourth constitutional convention ignoring the constitutional ban that mandated a minimum of 25 years, or one generation, between two conventions.

In a stunning and amazing news for the field of space exploration and research, Nadiya has managed to pull the impossible and launch the first manned mission around Terra since the 54th century while the country's is currently suffering from a constitutional crisis.

The 5 member crew, 3 women and 2 men, were handpicked elements of the Nadiyan Confederated Air Force that were trained at the NSA's Lesnovian cosmodrom before being sent to Xsampa a few days before the launch. The launch from Xsampa went smoothly thanks to the NSA's coordination between it's Lesnov and Xsampa operation sites, but also the extensive web of telecommunication satellites that allowed for the monitoring of the spacecraft after it took off and broke through the atmosphere. The launch itself was broadcasted by all news channels in Nadiya alongside international channels shared the moment worldwide as the Nadiyan crew conquered the skies and proceeded to conduct experiments and tests as they entered orbit. Even tho the moment in and of itself was historic, it only last a pretty short period of time as the NSA had planned for the cosmonauts to only remain in space for 20 years before returning to earth and landing in the Red Bass Ocean.

Shortly after the launch, the cosmonauts were granted the Order of Nadiya alongside missing insignias from both the Presidium of the Confederation and the Nadiyan Space Agency before director Panarim announced the official start of the Satanail program and scheduled launch of a manned mission to the Moon by 5735, a far cry from the originally planned mission to the moon by 5770, which shows the NSA's lightening research and development in terms of rocketry and space exploration.

In a shocking turn of events the Supreme Cooperative Court has officially impeached Premier Ulyana Pavlina in an unanimous decision on grounds of violating the constitution, treason agaisnt the Confederation, and violation of the social contract which has been met with mixed reactions from all ends of the political spectrum.

The news came after months of ongoing dispute between the Confederal government and the Supreme Cooperative Court over the issue of the Nadiyan Central Bank triggering article 51 of the constitution and taking over the budget for the next 15 years. The Pavlina administration had denounced the rulling as an "overreach of the Supreme Cooperative Court and a clear stomping of the people's voices which have expressed their desire for communist realism and the transition toward a world free of capital."

Yet the justices of the SCC have now unanimously agreed to impeach Premier Ulyana Pavlina from her functions and letting the Presidium temporarily take over the Confederal government until a new premier is either elected by the NGA or appointed by the members of the Presidium to ensure the continued governance of the Confederation as an investigation has been launched against Ulyana to verify if she truly violated the constitution and committed acts of treason by openly defying Nadiya's highest court.

A press conference was then held by the leadership of the ANCP and PAN where Ulyana promised to fight back against "this unjust and unwarranted attack against my person and the mandate granted to me by the representatives of this country. I will make sure that justice is served and that I will be reinstated as Premier of the Nadiyan Confederation to fullfil the promises I made to the citizens of this country."

It seems that the influence of the Terran Economic Forum keeps on growing over the Confederation as yet another member of its board takes over one of Nadiya's most critical institutions. Liliya Pavlina, chair of the Council for Unshackling of Human Potential and member of the TEF's board of directors, has been appointed by the Presidium to the position of Premier and ordered by the SCC to form a government in shortest delay.

Liliya started her career by leading Kozacchyna's notorious ultra liberal organization known as Forward Kozacchyna! after her graduation from the National Higher School of Economics and Management and specializing in the field of Human Resource management & Efficient labour which garnered her the reputation of "The Corporate Warlord of Kozacchyna" thanks to her strategic positions at the helm of multiple big scale corporations. This led to her catching the attention of Alexandra Bacque, the chair of the Council for Humanity co founder of the TEF and current NCB governor, during the 5725 summer edition of the forum which discussed "The Needs for Rest And Leisure In A Never Sleeping Economy" where she was a guest speaker for the National Higher School of Economics and Management to talk about the benefits of using energizers to keep workers productive and aware to maximize efficiency and production quotas. This earned her the position of chair of the Council for Unshackling Human Potential & Efficiency and becoming member of the TEF's board of directors as she controlled one of the Forum's most critical institutions and helping them in their goal to achieve "Agenda 5750" through influences in the Confederal.

To say that Liliya is a total political outsider to confederal politics would be equivalent to denying the truth since she already knows the mechanics of power work, and especially how to move across the arena without fueling the anger of the NCB or SCC. The new premier has already announced that she will eagerly cooperate with the Nadiyan Central Bank and their agency the Commission for Humane Development to ensure that Nadiya follows the budget set by the NCB and meets the economic growth and development yearly quotas set by governor Alexandra Bacque alongside announcing major reforms such as an increase of the retirement age from 65 to 75, reintroduction of the 5 days work week, increase of the maximum weekly work hours from 30 to 45, and slashes toward 'unnecessary' pensions and government cheques.

The All-Nadiyan Communist Party immediately released a statement denouncing the "rising influence of the capitalistic class on the Confederation and their shameless violation of the proletariat's wishes so they can enact their twisted vision of a perfect world where profits are key and nothing matters other than seeing the arrows go up and up." Multiple trade unions such as the Nadiyan General Union of Workers announcing the start of nationwide strikes to pressure the Pavlina administration to abandon their planned reforms and call on a snap elections so a "people's government can be formed".

Following the outbreak of violence in the Baegukese peninsula as the DMZ was violated by the forces of North Baeguk, the Nadiyan Confederation was quick to react and throw her support behind the Kingdom of Great Baeguk, the nation's long standing ally in the region alongside announcing the start of a massive aid plan to the south.

The statement released by the Nadiyan Commission for Foreign Affairs, International Harmony & Nadiyan Community Abroad at midnight declaring the country's full fledged support behind the Great Kingdom of Baeguk in the recently started Second Baegukese War. The move took by suprise the hardline factions of the Nadiyan left which historically supported North Baeguk and always saw them as the legitimate government, but the Technocratic Alliance of Nadiya currently led by a member of the Beak royal dynasty were overjoyed at Nadiya aligning itself openly with the monarchy, even tho the two countries have two radically different societies, economies, and style of governance.

Furthermore, Premier Liliya Pavlina announced the ratification of an economic and military aid treaty with South Baeguk alongside the deployment of Nadiyan Red Square Society volunteers to the country to help with easing the burden put on civilian lives. The 5,2 billion rubles economic aid granted to the South encompasses things such as the selling of Nadiyan oil and agricultural goods at extremely low prices alongside Nadiyan investments into the country especially in the industrial and agricultural sectors to ensure that the country can survive the war, concerning the military side of the treaty, the Svetovit Corporation for Peace and the Nadiyan Commission for Military Administration and Modernization have both announced that they will immediately supply South Baeguk with guns, ammunition, armored vehicles, missiles, and even soldiers if South Baeguk would allow for Nadiyan volunteers to be deployed.

As part of her program to make the Nadiyan economy more efficient and productive, a new set of major labour and pension reforms were passed much to the ire of the trade unions and the Nadiyan left while finance and tech experts of the TEF celebrate the news.

The Efficiency of Nadiyan Departures Act, END act for sure, raises the retirement age by another 10 years from 65 to 75 while abolishing the tax exemption that was once applied on pensioners and the elderly alongside raising the maximum working hours in a week from 30 to 40 hours and restored the 5 days work week. Even tho the bill was repeatedly stalled by parliamentary commissions and counter measures agaisnt the reforms, it was ultimately passed using article 43-9 of the constitution which was triggered by the premier, this allows for the government to pass laws forcefully through the NGA if no censorship motion is passed which would topple both the government and the bill.

Even tho the ANCP had deposited a motion of no confidence agaisnt the government immediately after Premier Liliya Pavlina triggered article 43-9, it didn't manage to gather the required 621 votes necessary as parties outside of PAN abstained since they feared that toppling the current administration would only bring chaos and fuel the fires of the Constitutional crisis that was forcefully put down by the Supreme Cooperative Court.

Reactions to the END act were radically different from one end there were the trade unions and Nadiyan left-wing parties which have denounced the law as a violation of the communist-market economic model and a set back to the gains made by the working class during the Ulyana Pavlina administration. On the other hand there was the loud praises of the Terran Economic Forum and the Nadiyan Central Bank which hailed the reforms as a necessary change for Nadiya, their main reason for supporting and praising the law is the fact that Nadiyan birthrates have began dropping at a rapid pace from 3,1 recorded in 5710 to a historic low of 2,4 just above the renewable population threshold and when coupled with the aging population of the Confederation, it is a recipe for disaster that would bring the Nadiyan pension system to its knees.
