30 dead from a terrorist attack in Rodashyam with the "Trigunian Reclamation Front" claiming the attack, the NCATCP apologizes for "missing obvious red flags": some scars were never meant to heal...

Rodashyam, Radin. The citizens of Rodashyam today witnessed the most brutal attack perpetrated against civilians in the history of Nadiya as 3 men opened fire in the city's busiest street market at the Peonies Squuare. The report from the Rodashyam Metropolitan Police alongside the audio and video proofs show that that the 3 men posted themselves on both end of the market before shouting "Slava Trigunia" and opening fire on the shoppers, not only that, but one of them even rushed into the crowd and detonated his suicide vest which killed even more people. The Frolova Grand Hospital has reported more than 30 deaths and at least 270 people injured in what many consider as Nadiya's bloodiest Sunday. Shortly after the attack, an organization known as the Trigunia Reclamation Front claimed the attack and called for "true Trigunian patriots to rise up and reclaim our land from the filthy occupiers and traitors" while the NGA held an extraordinary meeting in which they allowed SG Dovhan to declare martial law across all 5 republics with the special centralization of wall 5 independent armed forces into one for the time of the emergency. Furthermore, the Nadiyan Commission for Anti Terrorism and Countering its Tactics has released a public apology for "ignoring and dismissing obvious red flags" due to them being considered baseless by the commission but also because the 15 years granted for the Reconciliation and Reconstruction Project were clearly insufficient in addressing the scars that still plague the isles. As a result of that, SG Dovhan announced that the Commission for Political Integration and Reconciliation will be brought back again alongside the launch of an investigation against the NCATCT for mishandling of informations and grave mistakes for security matters. The citizens of the NEC were just recently celebrating the completion of the 2/3 of the Unification protocol, but the shadows of their dark past still loom over their own goal of a new future for the isles and Nadiya.

Start of the "Reconciliation and Forgivness Concord" as the NGA approves measures to handle the radicalization of the youth from Trigunian revanchism: 80 years of war don't go away that easily

Zarvosopol, Kozaki. In yet another extraordinary scession of the NGA, the Together for a United Healed and Ready Nadiya Act was passed with unanimous votes from all present MPs at the assembly. The law, wrote by MPs of the Indegnous Party for Recognition and Liberation, launched what is known as the Reconciliation and Forgiveness Concord, a political process which most consists of establishing the Agency for the Healing and Reconciliation of Nadiya as a mean to address the radicalization of mostly young and teenage men by influencers who support and share the ideals of Trigunian revanchism. Trigunian Revanchism is an idea birthed after the defeat of the Tsardom on the 8th of March 5623 with their ratification of the Petrograd Treaty, these ideas matched quickly among young men who saw themselves as oppressed by the newly established governments of the 5 republics, Radin for example has seen some Rodashka males spearhead attacks agaisnt Nova Beagukiyans while accusing them of trying to "erase and destroy the Trigunian nation". Furthermore, the matriachist laws in Vrosnok and Kozaki, alongside the major schism that was the Matriarchal Church of Nadiya, have pushed some young men over the edge since their traditional patriarchal ideas and systems were overthrown and left place to either egalitarian or Matriarchal systems that are radically different from the one before them. The ideas of Trigunian revanchism aren't exceptional to the right, accounts on both the far right and far left have been reported to promote the restoration of Trigunia under their own systems with the far right sponsoring an absolute monarchy while the far left supported a totalitarian leonist system. Coupled to that are the negligence from the NEC themselves who rode on the wave of their success after the war and dropped the leash on fighting extremism and radicalism by letting the newly born and still devastated 5 republics carry out their own security measures but now that the wounds of the Great Liberation War have bloodily bursted open again, the NEC has no other choice than to face the shadows of its own past.

Baek Chaewon and Aiden Holmes become official members of the NGA as they are granted Nadiyan nationality, the NSCC rules as constitutional their right to become Nadiyan: Nadiya the home of deposed leaders?

Zarvosopol, Kozaki. Nadiyan politics keep on becoming weirder by the second as today two famous deposed leaders, the fallen empress of Baeguk, Baek Chaewon, and the recently disgraced leader of Baltusia, Aiden Holmes, have both entered the Nadiyan General Assembly today during snap elections held in North Radin and South East Brakav respectively. Chaewon was elected as a member of the Nova Beagukiyan Technocratic Alliance after successfully campaigning on the slogan of building a better Nadiya with some hints of her ambitions to become the leader of the NBTA which wouldn't be hard as many Nova Beagukiyans long for aspects of their natal home to come to Nadiya and what is more Baegukian than having their former empress lead your party? Aiden Holmes on the other hand was elected as a member of the All-Nadiyan Communist Unification Party given his radical socialist views that coincidently align with the party's more radical and conservative caucus. The election of the two foreing leaders has caused uproar in the NGA because of their past, so a group of MPs seized the Nadiyan Supreme Cooperative Court to decide on the legality of their Nadiyan mationality, and to the suprise of many, the court ruled unanimously that they were within their legal right to become members of the NGA as Chaewon is a holder of the Radinan nationality while Aiden holds the Kozaki one as both used the two republics' immigration laws that allow for the nationality to be basically purchased if they invest in the nation enough to help develop one of its sectors. These recent elections have set a historic precedent in the history of the isles, but will other deposed leaders also exploit these loopholes to start a brand new life in Nadiya?

"A long and tumultuous road ahead" for national reconciliation in Nadiya, a board of historians, psychologists, sociologists and experts formed to put forward a plan: facing your own demons is hard

Zarvosopol, Kozaki. The NEC alongside its member republics have ever since the Peonies attack spent the last years and months trying to face a deep rooted question that many are uncomfortable addressing, the acknowledgement of the atrocities committed by both sides during the Trigunian Disaster. Because even tho the war and the era of chaos that ensued were largely rewritten by both sides through propaganda efforts that outlined each side's accused heinous crimes against the citizens of the enemy forces were considered by many as baseless and the narrative that the NEC didn't commit any crimes whatsoever was ever since the Great Liberation War considered as the only true one. However, recent police investigations against Trigunian revanchist cells has shown that most of their members joined because members of their family were personally affected by acts done by NEC forces such as the deployment of the Blood Tears - 72 weapon that, according to old Institute records was only launched on military bases, but these revanchist organization members confessed that the missiles carrying the weapon were also launched on hundreds of villages that were cut from the rest of the Imperial government when the war broke out. According to documents seized during a raid of the Polina Pavlina Institute's archives, the institute intentionally and precisely targeted those villages and deployed the bioweapon on civilian agglomerations to facilitate their management and help in their goal of establishing a new home for the Kyo people in Nadiya. Not only that but cavalry forces of the Kerisian Unification Horde commonly violated the DMZ and kidnapped hundreds of women, men, children and elderly to make them work in labor camps or be part of an intense jelbefication effort in which the most "jelbic" looking women and men were forced to procreate. As such, the NGA approved the creation of the board of historians, sociologists, archeologists, etc, to work with the Nadiyan Commission for Reconciliation and Forgiveness to figure out an effective and broad plan to address the divisions still present in the isles. The board's director doctor Leonity Solove, a historian with a PhD in the study of societies affected by radical changes in governance and linguistic hegemony, held a press conference shortly after his nomination in which he said:
Quote:The isles and Nadiya have experienced civil unrest and literal collapse of the social fabric countless times before, but never in its history has it ever went through the one that gave birth to Nadiya. Because even tho the old Trigunian regime changed governance constantly, switching from communism to liberalism to monarchism and even fascism, but the old societal structures remained, Rodashka was still the hegemonic language that unified the isles and nobody dared challenge the basis of the nation even during the Utopianist eras and the early days of the Princedom. The war has left open wounds the size of craters all over Nadiya, and all of them were covered up using tapes and prayers, but in order to fully heal and be a society based on understanding, we must face our own demons that we kept under tight lock. The road ahead is long, hard, and tumultuous but if we stick together and talk heart to heart we will overcome destiny's hardest challenge together like the organs of a single body.

The NGA approves of the dismantlement of the BT-72 bioweapon program instead focusing on reforming the NJF into a defensive armada, NCDITPT officially founded and NCEMWE disbanded: teddy bears with guns

Petrograd, Kozaki. The NGA today approved the decision to dismantle the current BT-72 bioweapon program and that all current research programs must be aborted immediately. The decision came after the NCRF put forward a reconciliation plan with the first step being the disbanding of the BT-72 program in favor of reforming the armed forces of the NEC by making the chief of staff of the 5 republics fall under the jurisdiction of a new military authority. The Pastels denounced the decision as an attack against the isles defense and the republics' sovereignty as the bioweapon was originally maintained and used for disuasive means which allowed the defense commission to be defunded almost completely in favor of the other commissions such as the Commission for Cultures and Arts, but the motion of the NCRF passed easily even tho some members of the NBTA voted no because they considered the decision as the historians diminishing the Institute's involvement in the war. Shortly after the motion was passed, SG Dovhan announced that the Nadiyan Joint Forces will be reformed into the Nadiyan Cooperative Defense Forces alongside the dissolution of the Nadiyan Commission for Emergency Measures and the War Effort that will be instead replaced by the Nadiyan Commission for Defense Intelligence Transmissions and Police Transparency alongside the announcement of a 20 billion NRB plan to build a somewhat decent navy and ground forces for defensive purposes only in case of a foreing invasion of the isles from nations trying to exploit the NEC, however, the NCD will continue being the most underfunded commission because the incumbent administration instead wants the 5 republics to fund their own armies instead.

Nadiya hosts its first royal wedding ever since the death of Trigunia as Baek Chaewon marries Prince Alexander V, NGA to discuss a bill handling nobility titles: some traditions don't die that easily

Zarvosopol, Kozaki. Today the isles held their first ever royal wedding ever since the official abolition of Trigunia by the treaty of Petrograd. However to the dismay of traditionalist monarchists, the wedding broke many norms as it was held between the current incumbent Rothingren-Ludvig-Syldavia house and the house of Baek through the marriage of Alexander V to Chaewon during a ceremony held at the Church of the Holy Union at Zarvosopol, both partners requested that the Matriarchal Church of Nadiya should be the only one blessing their blessings which meant a very clear divorce from the tradition of having the Augustan Church ensure the holiness of the union. To mark the occasion, Matriarch Katharina herself oversaw the ceremony that was broadcasted live across the isles with a reported 12 million viewership across the isles even tho some republics such as Lesnov and Brakav tried restricting the broadcasts because monarchism and any of its symbols are strictly banned. The marriage ceremony itself broke away from traditions by aborting plans to restrict the access to the public instead allowing anyone to entire the church and take part in the event through approved pathways and with the help of the local nuns and priests. In addition, the couple swore allegiance to the MCN and acknowledged the Petrograd treaty's ban on all male heirs but acceptance of female spouses as eligible to the throne which means that Baek Chaewon is now eligible to claim the title of Queen of Nadiya and former Trigunia once Maria the First either abdicate or dies, due to the Queen's open lesbian relationship and marriage that she officiallized in 5625 that then made her niece Daria Anastasia Alexanderova Rothingren the sole heir eligible to the title before the marriage of Chaewon. In other news, the NGA has started debating the Royal Titles Reorganization Act, a law put forward by the Princessses and Tsarina Association of Nadiya, that proposes established clearer regulations and a formal recognition of royal titles by the NEC because, as of the now, only the title of Tsarina of Nadiya and former Trigunia is recognized by the NEC because the treaty it had signed with Trigunia now the main issue is what will happen to other minor royals titles such as the ones claimed by the indegnous population.

The PTAN becomes the 3rd biggest block in the NGA as the idea of returning the monarch is popular again; SRs agree to the Raspberry coalition and to hold a monarchy referendum: echoes of the past?

Petrograd, Kozaki. Today the citizens of the NEC and the 5 republics went to elect the 11th Nadiyan Legislature as part of the 5 term limit and recent seat increase of 100 passed by the previous administration by adopting a new representation law that forces the division of parliamentary seats by 100k citizens to ensure fair elections and a clearer line of communication between parties and their electors. The election was held in a relaxed climate as the Nadiyan Central Bank had recently announced that all the economic indicators of the organization were all in the green in addition to the successful carrying of reconciliation efforts that held kill off right wing extremism and internal terrorism, so many expected the rulling Strawberry alliance to remain in power with its members projected to increase their joint seat share by 5%. However, to the suprise of many, the Princesses and Tsarina Association for Nadiya managed to pull the biggest upset in the history of Nadiyan electiond by becoming the third biggest political force, outpacing the communists by merely 2%, the SRs and Servants as usual secured 30% and 27% of the votes each but the fact that the PTAN managed to win 17% of the votes shocked everyone as they were projected the remain the 5th block in the assembly. Exit polls showed that many first time voters were swayed with the ideals of returning the monarchy but only with a ceremonial role whilst all powers would be vested onto the legislative and executive bodies of the future Nadiyan state. Seeing how the monarchists became a prominent force in the NGA, SG Dovhan announced that the PTAN will formally join the coalition which will be renamed into the Raspberry coalition and that a referendum about the monarchy will be held after the appointment of a constitutional convention that will write the constitution of the future Nadiyan state as part of phase 3 of the Unification Protocol. Although monarchism is gaining in popularity, when asked about granting political powers to a potential monarchy if the referendum would is successful, and crushing majority of 97% rejected giving any powers to the monarch whatsoever signaling Nadiya's shift from the current enlightened absolutism currently spreading across the different royal movements in Terra

Constitutional Convention created and ordered to start drafting articles of the Nadiyan constitution as 84% approve of it through a referendum: the final and decisive step

Zarvosopol, Kozaki. Today the first day of the constitutional convention has finally started after a referendum regarding its creation was held with 72% turnout and 84% of  voters saying yes to launching the constitutional convention immediately. The convention composed of 200 seats with 50 seats allocated to the indegnous population and 20 seats to the Nova Beagukiyan minority while 30 other seats were divided with the remaining ethnic minorities, however what makes this convention stand out from any other one in Terra is that its members are all teachers, experts, and lawyers in the domain of constitutional law and rights. This requirement put forth by the Unification Protocol aimed at making sure the constitution of a future unified Nadiyan state would be based on the interests of the people and the human rights by separating political parties from the constitutional convention, the experts can easily and calmly work on writing the articles of the constitution that citizens themselves can suggest through the newly created government page named MySuggestionForNadiya.gov.ny. Currently according to the commission's preliminary feedback, its servers have received 50,478 requests which has forced them to install a requirement that any proposal must at least have 100 thousand online signatures, this specific requirement coincidently came after a famous suggestion of making the right to walk naked in the streets while wearing diapers was submitted which resumes in online virality and thousands signing the proposal as part of a joke. Fortunately, the CC aborted that suggestion and banned any suggestions deemed as "too absurd for the healthy functioning of the future state." The convention is expected to firstly clear through the requests made by citizens while voting and drafting constitutional amendments on a 2/3 majority basis as all 5 republics have 20 seats each to compliment the 100 seats that ethnic minorities are controlling, the decision to allocate 50 seats to the indegnous and 20 seats to the Nova Beagukiyans caused a wave of controversy as many considered the seat numbers as unfair and over the top especially with the Nova Beagukiyans who barely make 4 million of the population yet have as much power as one of the 5 republics. However, SG Dovhan defended the decision by reminding that the convention is composed only of constitutional law experts who will base their propositions and amendments on previous constitutions of Nadiyan & Trigunia alongside constitutions of foreign regimes to create a constitution among the best ones in Terra.

Chaos breaks out in the Constitutional Convention as the matriachists and absolutists use racial slurs against each other after the failure to adopt a gender equity amendment: a spectacle to behold

Volosgrad, Vrosnok. Many expected the Constitutional Convention to be the most calm political body that ever existed in the history of the NEC, it was indeed unusually calm for the past months as all the constitutionalists within it were more busy clearing through the popular suggestions made by the citizens before handling major issues that would shape the future of the Nadiyan state. The illusion shattered when the convention debated the implementation of a gender equity conditional amendment that would effectively repeal the ban on male politicians in both Vrosnok and Kozaki, the proposition made by the technocratic leaning constitutionalists was met with fierce backlash by the matriachists who called it outrageous and a betrayal of the values of the October Revolutionary Declaration and a complete violation of Kozak and Vrosnok's sovereignty over the right to determine the laws regarding gender roles. The absolustists then started insulting the matriachists by calling them "the Novikovas good sluts and servants" and even attacked the Utopians by calling them cancers to the good functioning of the NEC, in response the matriachists described them as incest loving parasites who fantasize about bringing back the same regime that was destroyed by the Treaty of Petrograd. Ultimately the resolution failed to meet the 2/3 majority requirement because the Matriarchists, utopians, and plurinationalists opposition alongside the absentention of the liberals and socialists that led to the resolution only garnering 95 votes due to absententions being considered as no voted by the rules of the convention. The communist constitutionalists, who many expected to be way more active, were suprisingly silent during the whole debacle even when the speaker called a recess of the convention and effective suspension of the constitutional program for the week. Will the communists play a bigger role during the convention or will they just remain silent?

Amendment implementing a Confederal system passes through the convention with unanimous support as the different factions agreed to also pass a collective leadership proposition: Nadiya will be interesting...

Volosgrad, Vrosnok. Today the convention passed landmark proposition put forward by the Utopianist constitionalists, officially known as the Nadiya of Nations and Peoples, the constitional amendment effectively introduced a confederal system to the constition and thus turning the future Nadiyan state into a confederation. Per the amendment, the "Sister Republics" will have the right to pursue their own independent diplomacy and ratify international treaties alongside painting the current international system that defines the NEC as a one of a kind institution, in addition to giving more rights to the Confederal government by forcing issues that would deeply impact the Nadiyan state as necessary to go through the confederal government. What makes this a historic decision is mainly the fact that the Utopianist resolution passed unanimously through the convention and quickly got added to the drafted constitution which shocked many political analysts who followed the convention as usually everytime an amendment was put forward, there would be at least 30 constitutionalists opposing it. Furthermore, this would mean that for the first time in the history of Nadiya and the isles that a confederation is implemented excluding the dejure "union of republics" or "federation of peoples" that defacto centralized all powers within Rodashyam and the Bashnya. Not only that but the Utopianist bill also included the creation of the Confederal Rotative Presidency that will be composed of 7 seats, 5 representing the biggest forces in the Nadiyan legislegislature, 1 will be automatically locked for the indegnous people, and the final seat will be directly elected through universal suffrage so it can be a direct way for the people to appoint a head of state without having to go through the legislature. The council is set represent the executive branch of government, however it is unclear if the position of General Secretary will be kept in place or transitioned into one of a head of government or even abolished in favor of the council being the sole representative of the executive. The convention is far from over but one thing is certain, Nadiya is gonna be one hell of an interesting system.
