Patriotism and social values shape up campaigns as confederal parties hold their coventions, PCP collapses in polls while HMDP rises: echoes of the Tsardom

Rodashyam, Radin. As the third confederal elections in Nadiya's history begin to peak over the horizon, the 13 officially registered confederal parties have all began extensively campaigning across the federation. However what stood out the most for this electoral season was the hyper focus on Nadiyan patriotism and traditional matriarchal social values as thousands of posters, ads, and videos have been spotted across Nadiya which praised the Nadiyan family and the Nadiyan people by making sure to showcase the "average" Nadiyan be it a doctor, teacher, school director, Househusband, or military general. The trend was first started by the far right Hosian Matriarchist Democratic Party whose primary slogan is "Keep Nadiya Great Forever" with their sponsored events, posters, and ads always becoming viral across social media and especially with the youth and women that see the party as the defender of Nadiya and its people. As a result, the other parties have also tried copying the HMDP strategy by showcasing people from Nadiya with differing levels of success like the All-Nadiyan Communist Party trying to turn voters by promoting the idea of the proletarian Nadiyan and the proletariat family, then you have the Servants of Nadiya party absolutely failing at successful mimicking the success of the HMDP campaign as polls have shown that most Nadiyans considered their campaign attemp as "wildly out of character" and a "cheap attempt to mimic the trendsetters". Not only that, but the recent party conventions of the People's Pact for Nadiya and the Pastels Coalition for Progress has shown the deep divide within those two coalitions as the more conservative parties, namely the All-Nadiyan Communist Party and the Matriarchal Utopian Party, have called for the coalitions fo adopt a more right-wing social and republican stance due to the recent Amethyst wave hitting the republics of Radin and Brakav which both saw their progressive governments toppled in the ballots in favor of the local conservative parties. Radin held it's legislative elections in July of 5668 which saw the Radinese Party for Rebirth and Progress aka Rebirth win in a landslide as they secured 250 seats out of the 490 State Duma thus allowing them to roll back most of the gender equality measures that ensured men had equal rights to women and were safe from persecution but it also allowed for the Duma to fire the old president and replace him with a more conservative one that now allows the rebirth party to fully attack men's rights; In Brakav it's the same story with Social Democratic Alliance of Brakav ousting the long-standing Egelion coalition composed of the People's Justice Party, the Green Movement of 52 and the Pacifist Party, the SDAB then proceeded to immediately fire the president through a motion of no confidence with the support of the Brakavan Metzist Party that helped them secure the 200 votes needed for a 2/3 majority, now the artist republic has struck down most of the legal safeguards to gender equality and packed the supreme court of the republic which effectively killed all hopes for the restoration of those rights in the republic. With 2 out of the 3 remaining "gender equal" republics falling to the Matriarchist conservative agenda, this resulted in the PCP falling in the polls dramatically with a Vmeste poll having them at only 15,3% while HMDP surpassed them by being 26% in voting intentions while Putilova enjoys record breaking approval ratings. Nadiya seems to be shifting right but will the Confederation fall to the amethyst wave?

The rise of Nadiyan nationalism, its origins and causes, and how it's influencing the Confederation: the chimera's eternal lasting impact

Ever since the first wave of rebellions hit the Trigunian Tsardom on the dawn of the 1st of October 5662 with the release of the October Revolutionary Declaration and subsequent secessions from the provinces historically deemed too "free" by the Bashnya, the Nadiyan people have found themselves in a state of limbo when it comes to their new identity as a successor yet different successor to Trigunia. The first traces of the emerging "Nadiyan" identity could be traced back all the way to the first Utopianist era in which Matriarch Frolova and her successor Pavlina hardwired the old Trigunian federation by overthrowing the traditional social and political order same with the economy which saw its potential unshackled as the federation became the world's first ever Utopianist and matriarchal country.

However, Frolova and her associates didn't stop there, as one of the core beliefs of Utopianism back then was the creation of a unique, unified society that was unified on the beliefs of freedom, integrity, and diversity. This led to the start of the "New Trigunian People" project which mainly consisted of ethnic minorities being moved around and forced to interact with each other to the point where those same minorities would be erased alongside the dominant Rodashkan ethnicity in favor of a new ethnic group in unbothered by ethnic and cultural issues and solely focused on the implementation of the utopian project no matter what. Of course, this project was controversial across all spheres of power as many saw it as yet another attempt to turn Trigunia into an ethnostate, which in turn caused the rise of the reactionary Conservative Tsarist Party and the official end of the first Utopianist era with the coup of 5310 and the resignation of matriarch Novikova. Yet the project was thrown away as it was restarted during the corporate era under the rule of Larissa Novikova, the project now named "Anastasia's Dream", involved a horrifying list of human rights violations as people were abducted and taken to secret labs operated by the mega corporations in the hopes of engineering the "perfect" Trigunian that would help revitalize the nation by willingly working until their death and without ever questioning the rule of the conglomerates which defined Trigunian life until the fall of Larissa in favor of her more moderate vice president Agatha who reformed the Conglomerates into a commonwealth and thus ending the the corporate era and starting the second Utopianist era.

Following the fall of the second Utopianist era and dissolution of the Trigunian commonwealth, defenders of the new Trigunian identity went underground, just like their fellow utopianists, they began a series of pro-Utopianist campaigns against the newly established Tsardom and Princedom due to the two entities being deemed as "reactionary" by the utopianists and their supporters who fled to Aldegar and other parts of Terra such as Lourenne, and even Yingdala which saw a Utopianist party rule over the country democratically then with an iron grip after the monarchy was restored and substantially abolished to form the Commonwealth that was under a defacto one party system with all political parties being forced to become members of the Harmonic Concordia that was led by PFU. However, those wild strands of Utopianism all helped fuel the Nadiyan project from within the Tsardom by allowing for Utopianist politicians to take shelter and spread their agendas even further as the Princedom had recently fallen and been replaced by the Trigunian Tsardom, a ruthless one-party state dominated by the March 17th committee who undid all the ethnic and political reforms brought by the Princedom. 

The fall of the Princedom and the rise of the Tsardom were a catalyst for the popularization of the Nadiyan project as the once legal democratic parties were banned in favor of one-party rule, many aligned with the underground United Trigunia of the Future movement and the utopianists in general, the Rodashkan-centric policies, and the centralization of power into the Bashnya led to many trigunians losing hope into the nation as it suffered from a cycle of revolution, reforms, dictatorship, and autocracies. While the autocrats in the Bashnya were busy militarizing the nation, neglecting the economy, and centralizing power, the OTB and their allies saw their numbers skyrocket and their ideals spread like wildfire within resistance groups especially with ethnic and religious minorities who saw their identities baffled and their languages violated. This culminated in the MK-17's reformist wing winning the internal party elections and restoring a somewhat democratic form of rule by legalizing all previously banned parties, this in turn caused the MK-17 to split up as many migrated to the newly created Imperial Conservative Party and the reformist members moved to the Liberal Democrats of Trigunia and the OTB parties, deepening divisions in Trigunian politics even further, during the 5555 elections, the MK-17 were practically wiped out as the ICP won 45% of the seats in the state Duma which forced them to enter into a coalition government with their former colleagues.

With the appointment of Afon Kiselev to the chancellery, the Tsardom began shifting hard toward more authoritarian measures as the ICP began cracking down on the opposition and privatizing every single part of the economy with the famous selling of Neftkomp that led to the company going bankrupt and the Trigunian economy tanking. The insuring economic disaster caused the suicide of the governor of the central bank on live television and the crushing victory of OTB in the 5561 which saw the ICP kicked out of the Duma and the liberal opposition taking over. However, Kiselev refused to recognize the election, calling it undemocratic and unconstitutional to the point that he even suspended the Duma and shot peaceful protestors in what is known as the Saint Ivana square massacre. Immediately after it, an epidemic known as the Bloody Tears virus hit the tsardom and forced the government to quarantine the entire nation, at first Kiselev's government refused to acknowledge the epidemic even tho the governors of Lesnov and Vrosnok had declared a state of emergency in their respective regions while the Bashnya just urged people to clean their hands, it was until the first confirmed cases of the virus being present in the Bashnya were released that the government ordered a Nationwide lockdown.

Following the absolute fumble that was the government's reaction to the epidemic alongside the economic shock therapy and political oppression, the Revolutionary October Declaration, an announcement made by the leaders of the OTB, LPDT, TCP, and the governors of Lesnov, Vrosnok, and formally named Nsmenti, now Kozacchyna, officially kick-started the Trigunian Disaster as entire regions rebelled in 1962 and declared independence while the government suspended civilian rule entirely and appointed military governors for Kozacchyna and Brakav. In response, the rebelling nation formed the Nadiyan Economic Community as the Frontline stalled before another wave of rebellions hit the Tsardom as the Nova Beagukiyan minority, anarchists, and pan kerisians declared unilateral secession from Trigunia. The first Trigunian war ended in what is known as the Rodashyam treaty, in which the Tsardom and NEC agreed to establish a demilitarized zone and an indefinite ceasefire in exchange for the Tsardom letting the new rebel states join the community.

The name "Nadiya" itself has multiple debated origins but most historians agree that the most likely source for the name came from either the Kozaki or Indigenous languages, traces of the name "Nadiya" were seen as early as 1500 BC with the Asakh people using the word "Nadikhna" to describe the Trigunian archipelago, the word itself, according to langue experts, means "Land of the Winter sky" or "Realm of the forever sun" given the fact that most of the land falls onto or past the artic circle. However, other sources claim that the name Nadiya comes from the Kozakis population as records from the 19th century have the nation of "Nadicchyna" referred to when talking about the Deltarian colony, the name itself supposedly means "Land of Hope" due to the colons seeing the artic colony as a hopeful opportunity for them to be free from the shackles of Deltaria because of the great distance separating the colony from the empire. It is agreed upon that the name of Nadiya was the original one used for the Trigunian Isles before its discovery by Artanian and Majatran explorers, but other historic records from the different indigenous ethnic groups such as the Tlagu and Itkilit used a ,variant of Nadiya that is "Nadorkha" which means either Seal Island or the Frozen Haven. Yet given the historical use of the name Nadiya by the indigenous and ethnic minorities, the named Trigunia was the one who prevailed over the others with the arrival of Deltarian missionaries and colonists which cemented the name of Trigunia until its abolition on the 8th of March 5623.

Even tho the Trigunian archipelago was the theater of a bloody era of warlordism and anarchy from 5562 until 5623, the idea of restoring Nadiya or what remains of it became increasingly popular among the population of the different independent states composing the NEC. The first republics to openly call for reunification were Kozacchyna and Vrosnok who both moved the NEC forward being an intergovernmental organization based on the different defunct continental unions across Terra by reforming its general assembly from a simple advisory body composed of appointed representatives from each member toward a legislative body capable of passing and enforcing laws by electing a secretary general with the recommendations of the Council of Nations, the ensuing series of political reforms and federalization led to the popularization of the idea to create some sort of union or confederation between the different nations of the archipelago. The reforms continued until the start of the Second Trigunian War which saw the tsardom capitulate unconstitutionally and be forced to sign a humiliating treaty officially killing Trigunia, banning male heirs from ever holding the throne, and unifying 12 republics into 5 nations that shall kickstart the unification process.

The elections following the defeat of Trigunia saw the victory of the Social Revolutionary and pro unification leader Rostlyvan Dovhan into the position of Secretary General of the NEC, he then immediately reforming the NEC even further with the support of the other parties which all wanted to unify the isles once again. A referendum was held asking the citizens if they want the NEC to become a unified country known as Nadiya or keep the status quo, and without a surprise, the pro union votes crushed the opposition and allowed for the start of the "Unification protocol" which was a series of political and economic plans that each republic has to implement with a yearly review determining the health of the unification project. Ultimately the republics managed to successfully integrate themselves within each other which culminated in the creation of a constitutional convention to write the Nadiyan constitution and the proclamation of the Nadiya confederation in 5649.

Ever since the confederation was proclaimed, Nadiyan citizens and society in general have begun shifting to the right on many social issues but they shifted to the left economically, the phenomenon known as Nadiyan nationalism was popularized with the creation of the Hosian Matriarchist Democratic party, a Nadiyan conservative far right party that advocates for the federalization of the Confederacy and defend "traditional" Nadiyan values which are matriarchal conservative values mainly target men and their rights by stomping down on gender equality and the menist movement. The HMDP managed to grow their base from a fringe religious group into one of the country's leading political force in the matter of 10 years with them now being projected to triple their vote and seat gains in the next confederal elections while the Party's president and one of the two representatives they have in the presidential council has enjoyed record breaking approval from the Nadiyan electorate as a recent poll had her at +45 while the incumbent Chief Executive from the Pastels only has -15. It is clear that nationalism in the confederation has become extremely popular especially among the youth who mainly identify themselves as Nadiyan instead of the republic they originate from as shown in a recent report that stated 45% of the Nadiyan youth identify as "Only Nadiyan" while 15% see themselves as "Nadiyan and unique to their home republic", and only 6% identify themselves as non Nadiyan which marks a significant development in the issue of Nadiyan identity and the relation it has with the many ethnic and cultural identities composing it.

Finally, the Confederation is set to centralize power even further as nationalism rises and the population asks for more powers being transfered to the central government instead of the republics so that Nadiya will remain intact and preservered for generations to come, but some within the Confederacy still believe that they were better off independent than unified. It remains to be seen how the central government and the republics will balance the act of centralization and unity without leading the newly born nation toward an unclear fate.

HMDP and their allies are set to dominate the legislature amidst a historical turnout as Nadiyans abroad finally get to vote: Nadiya falls to the amethyst flood

Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. The Nadiyan Confederation has finally held its most anticipated Third Confederal Election with brand new voting methods such as mail-in and electronic votes being integrated into the electoral system which meant that even more Nadiyans could partake in the election in addition to those abroad who could now either mail in their votes with copies of their Nadiyan ID or they could go to the closest embassy and consulate to vote, with all of these factors combined, the 5670 elections are expected to be historic and record-breaking one. Already when the last polling station closed across the urban centers of Nadiya at 9pm, the NCEFT a mere 30 minutes after had released the turnout rate for the election declaring, "The Nadiyan population has shown once again their commitment to the right of choosing their own future as an eye boggling 89,42% of the eligible voters turned to their booths and casted their votes. It is an absolute honor to make such an announcement, especially when democracy is being questioned across Terra." Even though the results of the election aren't expected to be released until June because of the CoN and CoJ's ranked choice voting but also because incumbent president Putilova only managed to secure 48,3% of the popular vote meaning that she will have to compete in a runoff election against her opponent Dr. Kan Eun-Song who managed to secure 36,2% of the votes. Yet exit polls conducted at voting stations by renowned newspaper agencies such as Vmeste had the HMDP as the major winner for the election with 37% of the voters having cast a trifecta of HMDP votes for all three chambers of parliament. This shows that Nadiya was never immune to populism but also that the confederation and its people desperately want a more powerful central government that's tougher on issues such as crime, traditional values, and more open toward involving the Nadiyan Matriarchal Church in the everyday life of Nadiyans. Now that the votes are being counted and the fate of Nadiya is being decided in the decimals, only time will tell if Nadiya will fall to the amethyst tide sweeping its republics.

Putilova reelected into the Presidential Council as HMDP secures a quadrifecta, government negotiations begin with FJIP: the bear's awakening

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. The official and final results of the third Nadiyan confederal elections have been released by the NCEFT after approval by the Supreme Cooperative Court, the 5670 elections set in stone Nadiya's shift to the hard right and cemented the desire for more centralization among the republics. The undeniable winner for this election was the Hosian Matriarchal Democratic Party and their local allies who managed to secure 44,64% of the popular vote, just shy of the 45% limit which would've placed them under fire of the anti-party dominance constitutional amendment, this enormous surge in the votes from the low 12% they had last election shows that Nadiya was never immune and will never be immune to Populism especially when it comes to social issues. The party managed to not only secure 446 seats in the General Assembly, but it also secured a majority in the Chamber of Nations and a supermajority in the Chamber of Justice, in addition to Putilova winning the second round of elections in a landslide with 70% of the votes going toward her, this effectively means that Nadiya has for the first time in its history witnessed a quadrifecta govern it. An HMDP-controlled legislature alongside a friendly presidential council and an ideologically aligned supreme court allows the party to fulfill its campaign promises which include constitutional reforms and the introduction of new measures allowing for more powers to be granted to the central government in Petrograd and Zoetergraaf with one of the most famous campaign promises being the introduction of term limits on both the confederal institutions and the republics with a very pointed critique toward Vrosnok who's renowned to have presidents serve more than 2 terms unlike the other republics. While the headquarters of the HMDP erupted in parties and cheers, the atmosphere was radically different in the HQs of the other confederal parties who all saw their vote share either collapse, such as the PCP and Love, or their decrease by 1 or 2% such as FJIP and TAN because of the amethyst wave that swept Nadiya which caused historically ingrained oblasts and regions traditionally considered as safe seats for the established parties to flip to the HMDP. In contrast, major cities such as Zoetergraaf, Rodashyam, and Spask either fell to the HMDP or now find themselves in imminent danger. Furthermore, the recently founded Voices of the Republics party managed to secure 5,87% of the national vote, thus 59 seats in the NGA alongside 40 seats in the CoN, which is an excellent result for a newly founded party that campaigned on controversial measures such as decentralizing the confederacy even further. But now government talks have started between the HMDP and FJIP to secure the indigenous votes in a supply and confidence deal, FJIP is expected to accept supporting the HMDP government after concessions were made in favor of Haivan and the indigenous people, and HMDP does in fact carry out their centralization plans, this would secure HMDP a supermajority of 2/3 in the legislature across all three chambers and they will only have to worry about their reforms being approved through a direct referendum to be implemented.

A rising star in Vrosnok; Rada Yakovenko.

Vrosnoki politics are certainly unique in the Nadiyan Confederation, just as every other Republic has unique politics. But for Vrosnok, they tend to be more romantic than other Republics. The Architect President, Party for the Vrosnoki Renaissance, the North Star Agenda, all of it involves spirit. And yet, one defining thing is a sense of civility and optimism. And then there's Rada Yakovenko. Yakovenko is a unique politician. Being a second generation refugee from Kundrati, and a proud Vrosnoki citizen, many never expected her to enter politics. However when Voice of the Republics formed, her sudden apathy to politics dramatically shifted. Yakovenko, a fairly popular individual in Vrosnok (thanks to a local acting career) was quick to endorse HR for the 5670 Confederal Elections and was very particular in endorsing particularly nationalistic (about as nationalist as you'll get in a civic nationalist party) politicians in PdAV for Vrosnoki elections. Once the results came in for the HMDP prevailing with a strong majority, Yakovenko became rather infamous in Vrosnoki media for utterly denouncing the results, spreading rumours of the Confederal Elections potentially being tampered or even stolen. However, she was also quick to criticize HR for being too polite, spineless and identity-less, having been quoted with the saying "What good is a party fighting for the rights of Republics if it has no identity". 

Ever since the Oil Hiccup with Vamaj, Yakovenko has been making rounds in nationalist circles, frequently criticizing the Confederation, and with the HMDP being elected, she's made it clear that she's looking to enter politics entirely instead of simply commenting. Many pundits are expected her to make a bid for President of Vrosnok in 5671, however others have raised concerns over the lack of experience, her almost demagoguery rhetoric, misinformation tactics and even concerns over potential unsavory accusations towards other members of the Confederation. One quote from Yakovenko has been, "The Confederal Government wants to steal Vrosnoki jobs and give it to Brakavians and once they're done taking our jobs, they want to take away our rights as a people too. They want us to starve in the cold." Extreme rhetoric aside, she has been growing steadily in Vrosnoki circles. Whether she'll win the PdAV Primary next year is unknown or not, but given the monopoly PdAV has over Vrosnok, whoever wins the primary is likely to win the elections unless a major scandal occurs, or the opposition rallies hard.

Whatever the case, Yakovenko is quite controversial. Between her distain for the Confederation, calling it tyrannical and neglecting Vrosnok, her dissatisfaction with Voice of the Republics, her statements on the legitimacy of the 5670 elections, and her tendencies to insult the media as corrupt or fake when it goes against her, she is certainly going to be a unique politician in the coming months as the PdAV primaries loom. And if she does well enough in Vrosnok, then who knows? Maybe she might try shooting for the stars and aim for entering Confederal Elections. But for now, she is certainly a rising star in Vrosnok.

The NGA appoints Liliana Keitel Thaller as Chief Executive, economic growth and political reforms take priority: another Thaller in Nadiya

Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. After months of negotiations between the HMDP and FJIP, the two parties finally agreed upon a confidence and supply agreement allowing the HMDP candidate for the chancellery, Liliana Keitel Thaller, and her government to be sworn in by the NGA. Officially known as Dr. Liliana Keitel Thaller, she used to be a teacher at the Larissa Novikova University in Zarvospol with a PhD in sociology and human nature, she also graduated from the Confederal School of Administration before serving as a member of the Brakavan Reichstag SBvB and eventually became Union Minister of Social Affairs for Brakav, she also joined the NGA during the 5670 for the HMDP as the head of their party list in the Kaiserberg oblast. Liliana herself is notoriously known for being the mastermind behind the amethyst wave, as she advised and was in charge of the party's advertisement by using her skills in sociology and her understanding of human nature, which allowed for Hosians to effectively secure an extremely stable majority across all three branches of the Nadiyan government. As such, the HMDP put forward her name for the chancellery and she managed to secure 730 votes through the MUP and ANCP conservative MPs breaking party lines, this move shocked their colleagues and sparked even more infighting in the opposition who desperately tried forming their own grand unity government to counterweight the HMDP but those parallel government talks collapsed due to ideological differences within the different parties and the outright refusal of some to support the anti HMDP movement. Even tho the opposition tried delaying the nomination several times by seizing the courts in an attempt to discredit the election, those lawsuits were all nullified by the Supreme Court and the NCEFT refused to recognize them because of the substantial amount of proof they had under their belt, this series of theatrical shows all culminated in the NGA holding a special session and approving of Liliana's nomination. During her inaugural speech, after she was sworn in, Liliana announced that her government would be for the first 5 years will focus on reforming the Nadiyan political system by introducing term limits applicable to everyone including the republics, centralization of power toward Zarvospol and Petrograd by granting the central government more power over everyday issues such as welfare, healthcare, and labour rights, she promised that welfare and healthcare will fall into the hands of the central government because of the huge disparities witnessed across the republics which have differentiating levels of welfare with Kozacchyna having the lowest out of all 6 while Lesnov ranks first as such the government will take over this aspect of governance to ensure a unified and equitable coverage to all Nadiyans. Furthermore, constitutional reforms including the expansion of the NGA after the conduction of a census and enshrinement of secularism were also announced to tackle some of the issues the confederacy suffers from in terms of governance even tho the Nadiyan Parliament is the biggest legislative body in Terra with its 2000 seats combined with the NGA being the largest lower house in Terra, Liliana also mentioned her government's focus on maintaining the current trend of steady government growth for Nadiya by focusing on the social sectors through government investments and the launch of a campaign to encourage migration toward Nadiya with the implementation of a work visa system and state subsidization scheme for companies willing to invest into Nadiya other than the current ones.

Rada Yakovenko wins the PdAV Primaries; Populism in Vrosnok.

With elections later this year, the PdAV primaries were always expected to be hectic after Lojka's unexpected heart attack (which she thankfully recovered from) and the announcement of snap elections. Between various candidates who wanted to continue the status quo and those who wanted something different, no one could've really expected the wildcard candidate to prevail; Rada Yakovenko. Winning a firm majority in the primaries, she has been nominated to lead PdAV into the Vrosnoki General Elections this summer.

So, what does this mean? Well unless a major scandal occurs, she's likely to win the election due to the monopoly that PdAV has on elections (thanks to the fumblings of the opposition and PdAV's popularity), but this hasn't stopped her from heading to the campaign trail, particularly campaigning to get "Yakovenkoite populists" like her elected to the National Assembly. She's been quick to bash the Confederal Government, and resorting to fear mongering, pledging to make sure Vrosnoki oil stays Vrosnoki, and Vrosnoki rights stay Vrosnoki. She's also vowed to make sure that Vrosnok stands up to any potential bullying that may occur from the Confederal Government should it try to take away Vrosnoki rights. Whether true or not, she has enjoyed quite good polling as early polling has shown her to be immensely popular with oil workers and the general working class. When asked if she would follow what Kozacchya did in taking the Confederal Government to court for alleged abuse of power, she's shown no hesitation to endorse the idea, following off with saying that any attempts to replace Vrosnoki jobs for Brakavian interests will be firmly opposed in court (it is worth noting that she has received flak for hostile rhetoric to Brakav).

While the elections aren't for a few more months, more Confederal minded voters are likely to find her as a headache and a stain on Vrosnok. For her fans however, she's a populist fighting for the people and for Vrosnok. It remains to be seen what exactly her administration would look like, she's certainly going to represent a unique direction for Vrosnok. Between her insults to the "corrupt media", her critiques of the Central Government and her immense disdain over Brakav, the big question ultimately is, will her administration be just talk? Or will she actually be able to fight the Confederal Government?

Maximovna and Kozak take over Skorost as the NCB gains more power from the NGA, Volosgrad & Spask metros near completion: the bankers' gambit

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. In a shocking and unexpected turn of events, the NGA approved the NCB's proposed takeover of the independent transit authority Skorost. The news came following a series of controversies and scandals marring the agency because of their correlation to the mismanagement of allocated funds and embezzlement by local transit agencies such as the Zarvospol Metro Corporation and the Rodashyam one, which led the newly installed HMDP government to launch a prob into those agencies by sending uncover spies in the form of daily users, maintenance and administration workers, and accountants, the mission immediately uncovered a deep entrenched system of fund rerouting and neglect by the local operators with the Skorost sent inspectors barely doing their works and instead they just sit around while scrolling on their phone until their working timer hits the 7 hours mark. Those revelations shocked the central government and especially the NCRAWW, which was unaware of the schemes. The investigation reports reached the desk of Evelina Maximovna immediately after they were published, she then held an emergency meeting with the executive board of the bank and the president of the CHD over the course to take concerning the scandal, the board unanimously agreed that Skorost's independence would be dismantled and it would immediately fall under the administration of the NCB and NCRAWW to ensure equitable governance with a purge of the people involved in the scandal. After the NGA approved the NCB takeover, Ex-Commissioner Kozak was appointed as president of Skorost by the NCRAWW and she was ordered to begin purging the local operators of corrupt individuals alongside taking on the duty of maintenance and finances of those metros by capping the prices of metro tickets across all three metro systems. Furthermore, because members from both the Radin and Kozacchyna central banks were involved in the metro affair, Evelina announced that the NCB will begin dismantling some of the autonomy granted to the banks of the republics by centralizing even more financial powers to the Nadiyan one, which includes the abolition of coin minting and bill printing that will be fully operated by the NCB with all the banks being forced to apply the policies from Petrograd no matter what. Finally, the NCRAWW stated that the Volosgrad and Spask metros have both completed their civil engineering works and only need 1 or 2 years to accommodate the new lines that will help end congestion in the two capitals on Kirikan.

The conservatives cement their control over the Supreme Court as they appoint three new justices, Sofiya Doroshenko reelected chief of justice: another win for Petrograd

Spask, Lesnov. It has been less than a year since the 5670 confederal elections were held and the HMDP supermajority was installed in the CoJ yet new changes are already happening in Nadiya's highest court. The 14-member court saw its last remaining 3 openly progressive justices hit their term limit and be forced to resign, which opened their seats for the appointment of new justices by the CoJ. The judicial chamber immediately began the process of elimination and filtering of the potential candidates proposed by the different confederal parties on the criteria set by the constitution, those being a doctorate in constitutional law, 10 years of experience as a judge, and full independence in regards to rulings, this led to the last remaining contenders being the ones picked by the HMDP and they easily secured the required votes for their appointment. Shortly after the new justices were installed, the Supreme Court held an ordinary session in which Sofiya Doroshen was reelected as chief justice of the confederation and president of the supreme court, Sofiya is notorious for her socially conservative stances against men's rights and her sympathy for the centralization movement because of her being one of the few justices who sided with the government over the question of ownership and operation rights. During her appreciation speech following the vote, Doroshen expressed her commitment to upholding the principles of the Treaty of Zarvospol and the Revolution October Declaration which both state Nadiya's promise to never suffer the same fate as Trigunia and to never fall into the authoritarian pipeline of the Tsardom, she also added "My resolve toward upholding justice and freedom across Nadiya has never faltered ever since I was elected chief justice, it is that same resolve that drives each and every one of us to fulfill our duty to the confederation and its people without betraying our own beliefs for a Nadiya that evolves with time and the world." Sofiya's reelection marks the cementing of conservative control and since 8 of the justices are expected to hit their term limits by 5675, another round of HMDP appointments is expected as long as the party maintains its supermajority in the CoJ.

Petrograd to take control of social affairs and welfare as the 5672 budget is approved, welfare equalization to be implemented: more powers to the government

Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. The General Assembly recently reviewed and discussed the 5672 budget put forward by Commissioner Nadiya Heorhiyivna Kobzar, head of the Commission for Finances and Economic Prosperity. The budget mainly addressed the disparity between the different constituent republics and their welfare systems by doubling their budget through tax hikes on the wealthy class of Nadiya and defending the affirmative action programs concerning men's rights, the commission also hiked up the budget for the army and national guard by 10% and redirected the remaining funds toward paying off debt interest and filling up the budgets of the constituent republics. However, the cost of the welfare surplus is the right of the republics to handle it due to the reports of the Commission for Health and Family decrying the catastrophic state of health coverage in Kozacchyna and rural Haivan because of the lack of funds being granted to the local health ministries, which led the central government in Petrograd to include in the 5672 budget the "Welfare Equity and Social Justice Act" also known as the Kobzar law, the bill officially abolishes the autonomy of the republics concerning welfare and social issues which include health, pensions, child benefits, unemployment benefits, etc and vests those power to the Nadiyan Commission for Social Matters and Social Cohesion and the Nadiyan Commission for Health and Family that will oversee all social policies from now on. The 5672 budget passed through the NGA with a 74 majority and easily got 351 votes in the CoN while representatives and senators from HR were slamming their desks in protest calling the law "a shameless act of despotism from the central government" and a "betrayal of the principles of the Zarvospol treaty." For now, Commissioner Kobzar didn't comment on the issue and instead announced that her commission will launch a welfare equalization program through the construction and expansion of hospitals alongside audits to ensure the fair and just treatment between all the citizens of Nadiya, she also announced minimum wage will be increased and unemployment benefits slightly decreased to encourage the citizens to work in the meantime as the NCFEP is planning on creating new job positions in state owned operations.
