Petrograd's full control over welfare striken down by the SCC, government and republics granted equal powers over social affairs: a dramatic twist
Spask, Lesnov. Many within Nadiya expected the Supreme Cooperative Court to dismiss the lawsuit launched by the Association for the Preservation of the Constitution. The trial was opened after the 5672 budget was approved in December, and the confederal courts of cassation were all appealed by the APC. However, what shocked many was the justices of the court voting overwhelmingly to partially strike down the Kobzar law by scaling back the takeover of social affairs from the republics, the court ruled that even tho the government was justified in controlling the welfare of the republics because of disparities between them, the republics still have a say on the issues concerning them and their population as previous governments that governed over the isles failed to adequately handle the issue which led to neglect and mismanagement from officials that were far from the concerned areas. Furthermore, the government was forced to hand over control of the local social agencies back to the republics. However, they are still allowed to directly dictate the policies and executive plans of those agencies according to the environment and policies seen fit for it which means that the NCSASC will share power with the constituent republics and listen to the reviews and concerns of the local populations before enacting major programs that will be applied in a decentralized manner to fulfill the needs of populations according to their environment and political climate of the oblasts, region, or republic. Many praised the decision with HR celebrating a victory for confederalism and a proof that Nadiya has healthy checks and balances between its different institutions while Chief Executive Liliana conceded and promised to consult the court on any further attempt at centralizing power to the central government in accordance with the principals of the Zarvospol treaty and Nadiyan constitution.

Term limits introduced across Nadiya as Liliana Thaller announces education reforms and lifting of the Kundrati embargo, Spask & Volosgrad metros inaugurated: some more counterbalances
Petrograd, Kozacchyna. The office of the Chief Executive has recently announced the successful passage of the Powers and Limits Act across all 3 Chambers of Parliament and its addition to the constitution. The PLA was one of the biggest promises made by HMDP leadership during the 5670 election season, the new constitutional amendment imposes term limits across the confederal government and constituent republics, the amendment allows any elected official to hold office for only two consecutive terms and bars anyone from seeking a third term only if they allow for another person to be elected. The constitutional amendment managed to pass the NGA after negotiations with the Pastels and PAN were conducted, thereby meeting the 2/3 requirement. As for the CoN and CoJ, given the HMDP's strong majorities in both chambers, they only needed the FJIP to vote yes to meet the same 2/3 majority requirement. The legislation was welcomed warmly by Nadiyan citizens yet opposition was heard from the council republic of Vrosnok where the newly elected president Rada denounced "a tyrannical move from Petrograd in a clear attempt to step over the republics and their right to decide their own political laws and systems", the message shared by the MPs of HR but their response was much toned down compared to Rada's declaration. Furthermore, Liliana announced the lifting of the embargo against Kundrati, this comes after recent elections were held and the legionaries were expelled from Parliament yet many Kundrati refugee associations announced that they do see themselves returning anytime soon due to clear signs of legionary presence in politics, lack of trials against officials of the old regime, and enactment of the Law of Return which many see as a settler colonial law that does not help Kundrati in the slightest. Finally, the Volosgrad and Spask metros have been recently inaugurated 200 kilometers of track combined shared through 4 lines in Spask and 3 in Volosgrad, the metros can handle up to 300 million users monthly, and reports of traffic jams across both cities have begun declining steadily as local inhabitants prefer the metros over the bus and taxi lines.

List of the candidates for mayorship in Petrograd
Snap elections in Kozacchyna see the collapse of the liberals in favor of the socialist & communist bloc, Petrograd mayorship falls to the PAN: possible red wave in 5680?
Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. Citizens in the People's Republic of Kozacchyna headed to the polls to elect a new Rada following the ousting of the previous administration in a vote of no confidence because of a law aiming to lift the Matriarchist laws barring men from entering the Rada or holding the presidency. The law known as the Gender Equity and Justice Ordinance was sponsored by the liberal party of Kozacchyna and implement affirmative action for men in the field of politics and administration but the motion was rejected by the Rada after a motion of no confidence was passed with the combined votes of the SDO, DSS, KNF and PNS, this unprecedented move was followed with a collapse of the coalition agreement between the PNS and liberals alongside president Stefaniya Medvid Pavlina ordering the dissolution of the Rada. Historically, the Pavlina political dynasty was at odds with the liberals and often campaigned and sided with the social democrats for their closer alignments to Utopian ideals. This series of events resulted in the formation of an electoral pact between the SDO and local branches of the All-Nadiyan Communist Party to oust the liberals, and ousting it did, as the SDO saw their seats effectively triple from 21 to 64 seats while PNS increased their seats by 20 going from 31 to 51, DSS decreased by 5 seats while KNF carved 15 seats from the liberals after the party switched their party lines from Kozaki nationalism to Nadiyan nationalism. Furthermore, the mayorship of the Confederal capitals of Petrograd also held elections to appoint a new mayor and the PAN sponsored candidate Putyatina Zenaide Rostislavovna was the great favorite as she won the mayorship during the first turn by securing 54% of the votes, Putyatina is a renowned communist activist who calls for greater centralization of power within the Confederal government and effective transition of the Confederation toward a federal system.

Adolfina Novikova takes over the government in Radin, men see their rights restricted again: how the fuck did we get here!?
Rodashyam, Radin. In a bizarre turn of events, the leader of the opposition and head of the Radinese Utopian Technocratic Union has taken over the mantle of government following the collapse of the previous administration. The newly elected prime minister, Adolfina Novikova has already promised to tackle issues such as public distrust of the republic's administration and the gender madness issue by reshuffling the administration and dismantling menist advocacy groups that have been protesting the state of gender equality in Radin. Her appointment was met with both praises and worries as yet another republic falls fo the hands of the Novikovas and the 5 big dynasties in Nadiya as more and more dissatisfied voters opt to vote based on name recognition instead of political programs. Furthermore, due to Adolfina being a notorious Matriarchist, male citizens in Radin saw their pay reduced and their right to free doctor checkups restricted to their wives' consent and approval just like in Vrosnok and Kozacchyna.

Police raid the royal palace after the Justice Commission announced the start of an investigation against the Tsarina, SCC & NGA to examine the case: probing the people's Tsarina
Rodashyam, Radin. Recently, the police forces of the confederal capitals of Rodashyam, Zoetergraaf, and Petrograd orchestrated raids against the residences and working offices of the Tsarina following the Nadiyan Commission for Justice and Governmental Transparency's announcement that it would investigate the Tsarina and her staff on charges of corruption, embezzlement of taxpayer funds, and money laundering. This comes after multiple staffers of the Tsarina were busted in an anti-speculation operation to shut down the last remaining black market financial institutions present on the blacklist of the Nadiyan Central Bank, the staffers were promptly arrested and an arrest warrant was published for the ones that refused to turn themselves in or outright resisted the investigation, the Tsarina herself was ordered to come back immediately from Altea and put under house arrest in Zoetergraaf while the investigation is still going. In addition, the other members of the Salvia royal family were investigated and questioned by the NCJGT. Still, they weren't arrested due to all of them not being involved with the ordeal, instead focused on maintaining their present jobs, such as former Tsarina Maria, who was called for an interrogation but left only 2 hours after, before going back to continue working her position as a professor for a local high school in Zoetergraaf. The corruption investigation has also seriously hurt the approval rating of the Tsarina by causing it to collapse from an excellent +24 to a catastrophic -17 while the percentage of Nadiyans wanting to restore a republican system jumped by 16% going from 33% to 49%, many took to the streets to call for the organization of a second constitutional convention or constituent assembly per mandated by the Nadiyan Constitution which states "The Constitution of the Confederation of Nadiyan Free Peoples and Nations shall revise and update the supreme law of the land through a constitutional convention according to the needs of the moderns times and as seen fit by the Supreme Cooperative Court with the approval of the General Assembly knowing that the maximum date between each convention is 50 years and the minimum one is 25 years. Yet only the people alone have the power to approve or reject any newly drafted constitution while being able to still choose if they want the confederacy to remain with the previous supreme laws." The confederacy itself will celebrate 50 years of existence in 5689 and some already want to revise the Nadiyan constitution because of the demands for further centralization of powers and the rise of Nadiyan nationalism which reflected in the collapse of pro-confederacy governments in Radin and Kozacchyna while Brakav is also expected to fall soon. Finally, the Supreme Cooperative Court and the Nadiyan General Assembly have both announced that they will monitor the investigation against the Tsarina and examine its legality because of judicial immunity being explicitly prohibited by the constitution but MPs of the Princesses and Tsarina Association of Nadiya still called for the NGA to vote on the matter because the ceremonial member of the diarchy has just been arrested and probbed, something that will most likely result in tensions with Egelion and other monarchies around Terra.

The corruption trial is officially underway as the SCC accepts direct examination of the case. Tsarina Anastasia walks into court handcuffed, while republicanism continues to rise: Is this the monarchy's trial?
Spask, Lesnov. Nadiya has recently witnessed the start of the most decisive trial in its history since the Trial of Retribution held against the former Tsar and participants of the Tsarist government in Rodashyam. The cause of the trial stems from the recent start of an investigation against the Tsarina, her staff, and the associates of the monarchy after they were busted being part of an illegal speculation scheme involving financial institutions blacklisted by the central bank that still hasn't declared an end to their war against underground schemes and the black market as actions that hurt the Nadiyan economy and ruble which already took a grueling 8 years to fix, stabilize, and strength through a series of purges, administative executions, and strangling of the unofficial money transfer markets. The actions of the central bank are seen in a good light by many Nadiyans who have seen their wages increase, standards of living skyrocket, and their purchasing power strengthened thanks to the socialized economy model imposed by the constitution, as such, every time a public figure or institution is found to be taking part in programs that would undermine the authority of the NCB and the socialized economy, they see their approval ratings collapse and citizens either boycotting them when it comes to institutions or kicked out of power through the calling of urgent snap elections. In addition to the previously stated reasons, the main historical factor in the trial is the images of Tsarina Anastasia walking into court handcuffed and sitting in the criminal box with an egg in her hair that was thrown at her by an angry citizen outside of court, and the fact that Anastasia was widely known as the people's Tsarina when 84% of Nadiyans held a favorable opinion of her but now that number collapsed to a pathetic 32%, this scene would've never happened under of other monarchies in Terra or the Trigunian Tsardom because the monarchs are seen as untouchable and any actions against them are sacrilegious and utterly offensive. Furthermore, the trial has caused republican sentiment to become widely popular with the population especially with a second constitutional convention having begun to be discussed seriously within the presidential council and government following several protests erupting across the country demanding that a second convention be held and a new constitution drafted.

The Second Constitutional Convention is officially announced by the Council as the corruption trial intensifies, and parties begin campaigning for their respective constitutional factions: the start of another theatrical act?
Zoetergraaf, Brakav. The Presidential Council president, Putilova, has officially called for the holding of a second constitutional convention following what many call a crisis of regime as pro-confederal governments fall one after another. In her address to the nation, President Putilova reaffirmed the Council's commitment to the safeguard of Nadiya and its institutions according to the demands and needs of the populations that follow the flow of time and influences from the rest of the world, she also announced that the convention will be in Zoetergraaf unlike the previous one that was held in Zarvospol. This system of changing host cities for every convention will be used for all future conventions to ensure equal treatment for all capital cities especially when it comes to confederal matters and also help avoid any coups even tho the constitution's division of power into 6 cities and the military's barebone funding already murdered the idea of a coup happening in Nadiya unless it was a constitutional but even then suicide protocols were established by the constitution. While the convention was announced, the corruption trial against the Tsarina intensified as the rotating door of witnesses walked into court, and more evidence was put forward by the prosecutors of the NCJGT against the Tsarina and her staff more specifically relating to newly introduced treason charges because of the judicial code describing treason as "A conscious and willing action to explicitly undermine the foundations of the Nadiyan nation through direct and indirect means which would lead to the harming of the population, institutions, and national harmony be it for the benefits of a foreign belligerent or an internal cause". The charges, never before used in the history of Nadiya, were accepted by the justices overseeing the case because of the financial nature of the crimes that undermine the Nadiyan economy, erode the trust in governmental institutions, and violate the oath taken by the Tsarina during her coronation in which she swore to be an honest, frank, and transparent monarch marking a divorce with the power hungry tsars under the Tsardom. Surprisingly, the King of Egelion and by association, Tsar of Nadiya hasn't been seen in the halls of the SCC to at least give his support to his wife during these hard times but even then some Nadiyans already accuse the Egelian king of being the reason why Anastasia is now sitting in a tribunal while others said that the Nadiyan royal families should never marry with people outside of the isles unless the foreign families are already present and active politically in Nadiya to the likes of Beak royal family which is considered one of the 5 political dynasties in Nadiya alongside the Thallers, this has earned them the favors of the population which can be seen in the election of Liliana Keitel Thaller into the position of Chief Executive, the sons of Chaek Baek being senators for the CoN and the exiled second in line prince of Baeguk being a representative for the Technocratic Alliance of Nadiya. Furthermore, following the news of the convention being triggered by the presidential council, the different confederal parties have begun campaigning in favor of their own constitutional factions in hopes of swaying the new constitution in their favor even tho all constitutionalists swear to be independent but just like during the first convention, their independence was a mere farce given how there were open fights when it comes to matters such as gender equality and the economy. Yet many expect the members of the second convention to be more civil compared to the previous edition because now Nadiya has been unified and the people have been used to calling themselves Nadiyans so the new constitution will just focus on updating the current one to fit the needs of the population instead of writing one from scratch.

Electoral posters of the lead candidates in the Zoetergraaf oblast
Radical factions see their seats doubled in the Second Convention following the organization of elections, and the monarchists are crushed: the tales of two Nadiyas
Petrograd, Kozacchyna. The citizens of the confederation headed to the polls recently to elect a new legislative assembly for the Constitutional Convention following its triggering by the Presidential Council, the elections were held in a historically tense political environment given how the monarchy debate had come back and it even placed itself first and took the spotlight during this electoral season. When the first voting offices closed in Rodashyam, supporters of a more powerful monarchy already knew that their constitutionalists would either be completely wiped out from the convention or kicked down so badly they wouldn't even be able to sway the votes especially since opinion polls of the monarchy on election day had them in the deep red while republicanism was in the deep green as many Nadiyans would rather abolish the masquarade that's the current diarchy between the presidential council and Tsarina. Shortly after all voting offices closed, the NCEFT began a live broadcast and projection of the results across the nation, Vemest called the election early for the Communist-Matriarchist-Technocratic alliance as Brakav was reported to have fallen to a joint crimson-magenta term. At the same time, Radin was divided between the greys, crimsons, and magentas, with Rodashyam being won by the socialists instead of the communists. Kozacchyna was also divided between plurinationalists, the technocrats, and Matriarchists, who managed to secure enough votes to kick out the socialists and utopianists from every major city. At the same time, Haivan remained an indigenous stronghold with its radical plurinationalist counterparts, even managing to secure the south of Lesnov and the North of Kozacchyna because of the different ethnic groups present in that region. Furthermore, the socialists were completely ousted from Lesnov, and the Matriarchists fully dominated Vrosnok. This constitutional partition of Nadiya has caused the convention to be the most radical legislative body in the country's history as the tricolor alliance has already announced their intention to reshape the constitution radically with the reopening of the feedback website for citizens and holding a second referendum on the monarchy following the corruption trial and collapse in public trust of the monarchy and Tsarina.

Fetisova Tanya says that Egelion has no say over Nadiyan matters as the corruption trial moves toward its final stage, the Tsarina requests her husband to leave immediately: a literal divorce trial
Petrograd, Kozacchyna. In a stunning turn of events after the visit of King Artemo to the winter palace in Zoetergraaf urging for his wife's release and threatening of a military invasion of the confederation, the Egelian ambassador was convoked by the presidential council to explain the open calls for an illegal and imperialistic invasion of the isles because of the arrest of the Tsarina for her alleged involvement in the ongoing corruption trial happening over at the Supreme Cooperative Court, this then led to the Egelian ambassador being summoned in front of the presidential council but he failed to answer the questions of the presidents as many feared that communication lines between Zoetergraaf and Altea were beginning to break down. Shortly after, the presidents of the 3 legislative chambers, confederal parties, constituent republics, and their heads of government convened for an emergency session the likes of which had never happened since the second Trigunian war when the Tsardom had bombarded Zarvospol and broken the DMZ, the members present in the meeting unanimously agreed that the confederacy should begin rearming itself and update the old Trigunian blueprints to keep up with the security demands of the nation, they also agreed that Egelion's move was out of order and an open act of hostility toward a nation that had historically supported them in every endeavor. This culminated in the Commission for International Harmony and Foreign Affairs, through its spokesperson Tanya Fetisova, stating, "The King of Egelion, even though we consider them as our most cherished ally, has absolutely no right to comment on affairs involving Nadiya and Nadiya alone. The citizens of our confederacy approve, support, and trust our institutions through the countless referendums, elections, and popular initiatives that ensure Nadiya's integrity as a confederation of peoples and nations based on democratic and progressive ideals vowing to never repeat the mistakes of Trigunia which was led astray by their despotic, absolutist, and reactionary goals which led to its downfall in 5623. Furthermore, given the betrayal of our trust by Egelion, the NGA will begin reexamining our military pact with Egelion that allows them to own a naval military base in the southern shores of Brakav, as ordered by Chief Executive Thaller, because we cannot let such acts of hostility go unanswered. Finally, our response to Egelion is clear and simple: You can try invading us, but know that the Nadiyan people will fight tooth and nail for this nation whose grandparents and parents sacrificed themselves just so they won't ever get stomped on by despots living in their marble castles surrounded by yes-men and decadence." In addition, some sources in the Winter Palace in Zoetergraaf reported that loud screaming was heard between King Artemo and Tsarina Anastasia, which was quickly followed by an official statement from the Tsarina saying, "I, Tsarina of the Nadiyan Confederation, order my husband King Artemo of Egelion to leave the country immediately as it is my solemn duty as a public figure to uphold Nadiya's sovereignty and the mandate of the people because even though I do have some reservations about the circumstances involving with the ongoing trial, I firmly believe in our institutions and completely trust our supreme court to deliver a sentencing even be if guilty or innocent. It is the people of Nadiya who accepted to keep me as their monarch, and I take this trust everywhere that I go, for I do not care about jewelry, power, or reputations, if it means I betray the trust of the people who compose this wonderful country I call my home. Also little side note, royals anywhere in Terra aren't holy or superior beings, we are just people that were fortunate enough to be from families that imposed and anyone that thinks otherwise either has a galaxy-sized inflated ego or a serious problem of self-esteem, either way both issues should be handled in the office of a therapist not through your nation's politics."

Anastasia was found innocent on corruption charges but still fined for second-degree involvement, the staffers all charged with embezzlement and corruption: that was a wild ride
Backdated: November 7, 5678
Spask, Lesnov. The justices of the Supreme Cooperative Court finally gathered one last time to give their sentencing concerning the corruption trial targeting the Tsarina and her staff, through their press spokesperson, the court found Tsarina Anastasia Alexanderova innocent on all charges but guilty of second-hand involvement with the fiasco for failing to properly check the history of the staff she hired alongside dismissing the requests of the Justice Commission until they were forced to raid royal offices and organize carrot on a stick operations through a cooperation with the NCB. For her second-hand involvement and lack of oversight, Anastasia was charged with 400 hours of community service and a 50 thousand NRB fine while her staff was found guilty of all charges. They were sentenced to 15 years of prison without parole alongside their assets being seized and redistributed according to their familial history and reparations to the communities that were affected by their embezzlement of confederal funds. Some Nadiyans speculated that the decision was expedited because of the recent fiasco that happened with Tsar Artemo, but the court's spokesperson refuted those accusations by saying, "The Supreme Cooperative Court and its Justices firmly deny any accusations of the trial being quickened because of the unprecedented spike of tension between Egelion and Nadiya. We, as the highest court of this land, are committed to delivering justice even if it involves taking down famous public figures from the government or the diarchy, and nobody on this planet has the right to try and interfere or denounce our proceedings unless we were actively violating and infringing on the rights of Nadiyan citizens. Furthermore, only Nadiyan citizens have the right to reject our rulings through the use of legal challenges, this means that no threat of military or economic action will make us stop an investigation for the sake of some egomaniacs across the globe." Shortly after the sentencing, the Tsarina was asked by a Vemest journalist about her thoughts, and replied with, "I'm relieved that the court finally delivered justice, and I thank them for upholding Nadiya's commitment to bringing any criminal to court even if they are a head of state like me. Also, I would like to apologize for the ruckus caused by my husband, which brought me a lot of shame to hear about the mess and damage he has done to the confederation's relationship with Egelion. For now, I will remain in Nadiya for the foreseeable future so I can be more active in my role as a member of the NGA and a representative of the constituents who lent me their trust to represent them in the nation's legislative body even tho some obnoxious nations believe that I shouldn't be tried for my involvements for this scandal, I fucked up and I'm humble enough to face the consequences and not shelter myself behind the made-up belief that I am somewhat holy or superior. Now, if you can excuse me, I have to do some community service. It was a joy speaking to everyone here."
