PHA'KA- The den of vipers in far-northern Pha'ka Sitnè has twelve fewer denizens today as a successful strike by the 11th Light Infantry Division into the Kawthayin River Valley eradicated an opium smuggling operation which had been the target of military intelligence for some time.

The operation, overseen by Brigadier General Kyaw Zin Htut and executed by nearly 100 men of the 11th LID, saw the seizure of over 420 kilograms of raw opium, a cache of illegal weaponry including 11 hand grenades sourced from South Dovani and elsewhere, diesel fuel, and documents proving the existence of further insurgent elements in the valley. Bo Thura Htut stated that "with the guidance of the 11th Light Infantry Division, the people of Pha'ka will once against walk the straight path."

The ongoing operation of the 11th LID in the sitnè has been an extraordinary military success against the narcotic pollution of the Pha'ka mountain homeland. Resistance to the strength of the Army is futile when the will of the Errawese people is brought to bear.

Fourteen Dead in GKLA Strike on DFF Community Center

DINH - Militants affiliated with the Greater Kimlien Liberation Army (GKLA, Dinh: Quân Giải phóng Kim Liên) struck a community center affiliated with the Dinh Freedom Front (DFF, lớn Mặt Trận Tự Do Đinh) in an apparent reaction to the arrest of Kimlienese President Tôn Chí Khang six days ago. The move in Kimlien appears to have signaled the beginning of a military coup led by General Mạc Văn Khắc.

The community center is known to be funded by the political arm of the DFF, which is considered a terrorist organization by the government in Danyawgyi and which is known to also maintain a militant arm. The DFF's militia engaged in violent insurrection in the Dinh Prefecture in 5626 when the Kimlienese government cracked down on student protests across the border, necessitating a response from the Yerrawese military. The community center was attacked and burned to the ground in the midst of a thirteen year old's birthday party, according to a statement from DFF leadership. None survived.

The GKLA, widely believed to be funded by the Kimlienese Tôn government, immediately claimed responsibility for the attack and demanded the immediate release of President Tôn, or further attacks would follow. The GKLA, also named a terrorist organization by the Yerrawa government, and DFF have long waged a proxy war in Yerrawa over developments in the Republic's western neighbor. Dinh people make up a significant proportion of Dinh Prefecture, and many have been displaced by decades of instability in the Royal Republic.

A spokesperson for the Army, Major Thu Win Ye, stated that Dinh squabbles would not be tolerated in Yerrawa and repeated the government's position that the Tôn regime played a significant role in stoking tensions in western Yerrawa, which otherwise would be a peaceful land of plenty. "The arrest of Mr. Tôn surely means the arrest of an enemy of peace in Yerrawa, and for that we are grateful to the Kim Lien Army."

"Luthori is no savior of Dovani," read the statement, sent directly to the Prasert administration in Udon Nakhon and shared with Truth. "We need not remind anyone that it was Luthori and its underling Mordusia that enslaved generations of Yerrawans for its imperial ambitions, as it did as well in Ntoto, Temania, Vascania, and across countless corners of the world the West now wishes to forget. Indeed, it was through South Dovani itself, then Hanzen, that Luthorian troops marched during the Southern Hemisphere War alongside their Dorvish and Zardic imperialist brothers to kill innocent Kimlienese, Yerrawan, Hanzai, and Indralan civilians. Dovani has never been allowed to be for Dovanians, and our South Dovanian comrades would do well to remember the costs of imperialist capital."

The Yerrawan military has long served as a defiant critic of the excesses of imperialist ambition in Dovani. True freedom lies not in "free" extractive markets which enrich Artania and Majatra at the expense of Dovanian blood, but in speaking truth to power. Yerrawa has no need for Luthorian capital.

Army Helicopter Destroyed, Sumanese Liberation Front in Yerrawa Claims Responsibility

PHA'KA - The Army acknowledged today that an HH-11 Seagull helicopter purchased several decades ago as Hutorian surplus was shot down over Pha'ka Prefecture, killing all 4 crew and 12 troops it was transporting. The helicopter was en route to the remote South Dovanian border in an attempted response by the military government in Danyawgyi to South Dovanian deployments on the border.

At approximately 23:00 local time the aircraft was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade launched from a cave complex in the remote Myinkho River Valley, according to the government's statement. The government did not name the source of the attack, but a statement on social media from the official account of the Sumanese Liberation Front in Yerrawa (KPS-E, Suman: Kongthap Potpon Suman Nai Erawa) claimed responsibility for the attack, declaring that it had fired at and struck the Army helicopter in defense of the sovereign territory of the Sumanese people.

The KPS-E, closely affiliated with the much larger but now mostly dormant Sumanese Liberation Front in South Dovani's Suman Province claims much of northeastern Pha'ka Prefecture as sovereign territory of the greater Golden Princedom of Suman, which has never held actual control in the Yerrawan mountain country. On the ground KPS-E influence extends only so far as the Myinkho River Valley where they often clash with other government-designated "ethnic armed organizations" but have rarely struck government forces directly. Danyawgyi has accused the SLF in South Dovani of smuggling arms into Yerrawa, a claim which the South Dovanian militia denies.

The Army statement noted that though the loss of the helicopter and its crew was a tragedy, it would do little on the ground to affect the conduct of security operations on the South Dovanian border. The Army warned South Dovani to maintain its respect for the border or face certain death. It pledged as well to enact justice upon the KPS-E.

Despite poll violence, Vascanian election result 'welcome news' in Danyawgi

PHA'KA - The Foreign Ministry today hailed the results of last month's election in Vascania as welcome news for the Republic, stating that the violence that had marred the election were unfortunate byproducts of extremism that Yerrawa itself has at times struggled to overcome.

Nevertheless, according to the statement, Danyawgyi recognizes the election outcome and looks forward to working with the incoming Vascanian government to ensure continued friendship between the two Daenist states and in the broader region of southern Dovani and Vascania.

Yerrawan ties to Kamalata run deep, with much of Yerrawa's economy tied intimately with that of the regional power to the southeast. The majority of Yerrawa's oil is sourced from Vascania, and many of Yerrawa's exports flow through Vascania (whether ending there or traveling onward). In previous eras of right-wing dominance in Vascania, Danyawgyi has been a happy ally for Kamalata, as the continued Yerrawa conflict requires extensive supply of foreign capital and equipment to wage.

Little is clear as to the true outcome of the election in Vascania, but Yerrawa has sent early signals of friendship after an apparent far right rebirth.

"Daenist brotherhood" serves as anchor of Vascanian-Yerrawan regional partnership

DANYAWGYI - Relations between Vascania and Yerrawa have "never been stronger, rooted as they are in Daenist brotherhood" according to a joint statement released by representatives of the Yerrawan and Vascanian governments in the capital today. High level diplomats and trade representatives from Vascania have been in Dan Yaw Gyi for the past week and a half, ironing out the finer details of renewed economic and cultural exchange agreements between the two nations.

President Zaw Soe Thant and the Vascanian diplomatic team met to formalize the agreements today, which would see a renewed investment by Vascania in the Yerrawan agricultural sector, which is a source of food stuffs for the island country. In return, Yerrawa will extend trade advantages to Vascanian importers. Further, a cultural exchange will be undertaken, with young Yerrawan military officers living and training in elite Vascanian military academies.

Though the event saw minor disruption due to a foiled terrorist plot aimed at harming the President, the announcement is a great victory for the Yerrawan and Vascanian peoples.

Yerrawan Government Arrests Dozens of Rapa Pilese Independence Demonstrators

In a move that state-run media described as 'foiling a terrorist plot', the Yerrawan military government today arrested nearly two-dozen demonstrators who had attempted to disrupt a televised event where Yerrawan president and National Defense Council-chair Zaw Soe Thant hosted a Vascanian diplomatic delegation. The demonstrators, all affiliated with pro-Rapa Pilese independence movements that views the continued Vascanian occupation of Rapa Pile as illegal, have been "effectively disappeared" according to experts on the Yerrawan regime.

Such arrests are commonplace for the Yerrawan junta, though most often for dissent over internal repression rather than international issues. A vast apparatus of detention camps is widely understood to exist in Yerrawa's sparsely populated interior frontier lands. It remains unclear if all detained were Yerrawan citizens, or if Rapa Pilese or other foreign nationals may have been arrested, as well.

SIDANI PREFECTURE - News out of Medina that the border crossing nearest Alterra had been unilaterally closed by Abadibad was greeted as "welcome news" by Major General Thura Htet Tun Myint, prefect of Sidani, who stated that the "unmitigated flood of impoverished masses" from Medina in the mountain region has long been a source of concern for local officials.

Yerrawan border checkpoints with Medina oversee a large number of cross-border travelers each day, but illegal smuggling and human trafficking on the part of "Medinese cartels" is a major concern for the prefecture, according to the general. The closure of the Alterra checkpoint in the wake of a Medinese crackdown on the Abadi Liberation Army will "help ensure Abadibad's problems remain Abadibad's".

In a response to increased traffic in the remote region the National Defense Council in Danyawgyi has deployed additional border patrol agents and technology to ensure the situation is contained. A humanitarian zone is being established in the region, where refugees from Medina can be processed and remain until the situation in Medina is resolved. A statement from the NDC noted that Yerrawa remains committed to its obligations under international law to offer safe harbor to refugees, but that any Medinese national outside of the humanitarian zone who had not gone through appropriate immigration procedures would be immediately repatriated. To this end, border patrol has stepped up enforcement and status review of Medinese nationals already in Yerrawa to ensure continued compliance with Yerrawan law.
